During the day it can get hot upstairs, but in the morning and evening it is very nice. The owner gives multiple fans to keep the room cool during the day.

Easy to walk to from the mentioned station. It is only one hour from a main station for getting to most of the mountain areas. Even though it is a guesthouse, it has a friendly, inviting feel and it is not too loud.

The standard pillows are a bit too hard - traditional Japanese style, but even so, a bit too hard and uncomfortable.

The host is lovely, and the nature and surroundings outside are very peaceful. A cozy house, you either sleep in the main house or the other house. The room itself is in classic Japanese style, with the shared rooms' futons divided by a wooden door, which acts as a barrier between the beds.

Thankyou so much for my stay here. The hosts were so lovely and welcoming. The home is so beautiful, calming and clean. They shared traditional mochi desserts and tea with me and always a smile. Very helpful with tips for transport and hiking in the nearby areas. I was very comfortable as a solo traveller here. Thanks again🧡

It's far from central Iida with only a single convenience store, Don Quixote, and Cainz, but for some (like myself), that's part of the charm. Also, there's only a single bathroom to wash in (you'll be waiting a while) and the pillows are hard (plastic bead filling).

As this was my first time staying as far out in the country as I did, I was certainly impressed by all the place had to offer. The beds were comfortable enough, my group of friends were free to eat the fresh fruits on the table, and the toilets were clean. Not only is this a guesthouse, it's also a fun place for the neighbors to hang out at and we were never lacking in new faces. On one night, there was a BBQ, and when one of the neighbors heard my friends and I never really had had a chance to enjoy Japanese handheld fireworks, they busted a box out and the fun began! This is all on top of the wonderful hostess, Yukimi. She's such a sweet lady and very much the social butterfly. She made us feel at home.

The people were so friendly. We had a BBQ and watched fireworks one night. As an English person who can't speak any Japanese, it was so nice that everyone put in an effort to communicate with me. One guy even face timed his 5 year old daughter to introduce me.

Theres no free toiletries and coffee the pillow is so hard and the futon its not comfortable. But the staff are nice.

The overall experience at this hotel was quite good. The room was clean and tidy, well-equipped, and had Wi-Fi. The location was also decent. I would particularly like to mention the male staff member, who was very professional and friendly. And he provided excellent service.
