The hot spring was a bit run down but still clean and comfortable. Probably in its prime they served Japanese food but it didn’t seem as though they did that anymore. But having the restaurant below and bakery next door was all we needed.

It was reasonably priced for peak season and I was lucky to get a room at the last minute. It had a clean and comfortable Japanese style room and a hot spring. It was a short walk to restaurants etc. there was a lively restaurant on the first floor.

Accommodation ist very clean and comfy. I had Japanese traditional room. It was amazing, having a feeling like I went back to old Japanese era. Got Yukata to wear. The shared bathroom is so clean and onsen is the best. Location is close to the lake and restaurant. Very easy to get to view points and find something to eat. The owner speak only Japanese but very friendly and helpful.❤️

We don’t like the Japanese style room bedding so that’s why our comfort rating was low. Tbh though, my husband slept very well. We did not use the bath.

We made a last minute booking for one night because our day trip Mt. Fuji plan (from Tokyo) didn’t work out. We paid ¥30,400 for one night April 16th, 2025. Everything was at least good. The location is great, very close to restaurants and the rope line. We contacted the owner via Booking.com and he picked us up at Kawaguchiko Station. Everything was clean. The staff was very kind. Non-Japanese speakers, be prepared to translate. Shoe removal upon entry to the building is requested.

Staying at the traditional Japanese hotel was a delightful experience. The hotel was so tidy, and the onsen was just fantastic – we all thoroughly enjoyed it.

We were staying in the Mt Fuji area for one quick night. Accidentally left some souvenirs at a restaurant in town, communicated this to the staff so they could help us arrange a taxi to collect the lost items, and they actually offered to drive us directly to the restaurant themselves. Did us a big favour and expected nothing in return! Generally, staff were friendly and helpful. Onsen was lovely and location not too distant from restaurants in town or train stations for attractions. Great value for money. Would happily stay again!!

A bit tricky to find. , as no motel sign was noted. we saw a restauranbt and another random set of stairs. We went up the stairs and had to enquire if we were at our accommodation.

Public bath was good. Owner very nice and shuttle available for transport to the train station if needed.. There was an obstructed small vivew of Mt Fuji from the rooftop smokers area.

The traditional Japan bathing was first time to experience lol. 😁.. but nice 😊 bathroom with high-quality toiletries and a refreshing onsen (hot spring) experience. The peaceful atmosphere made it a perfect retreat from the busy city life. And additional massage chair. ( old but still functional)

I had an amazing experience staying at this Japanese motel. From the moment we arrived, he fatch us from the station to the motel with his car ,making me feel right at home. The room was impeccably clean, with a cozy and minimalist design. The bed was surprisingly comfortable, ensuring a great night’s sleep. No lift however the kind helpful man carry up to our 3 Rd floor. I’m sorry for our the big heavy luggage’s. The motel was near beautiful lakeside.

Nice onsen and traditional Japanese room with futon beds. Literally by the lake, around 15mins walk from Kawaguchiko station, with convenient store and bakery within 5mins walk and a good local supermarket within 10mins walk

unfortunately: - only indoor public bath, and very small - you do need to walk up the stairs to get in - service was probably the most distant i have encountered for such a lodging. barely a word was spoken when we checked in. and we had to personally ask about the yukata’s. prob felt more pronounced after the rave reviews abt the service.
