little risky pathway uphill but worth the tiny risk!

Everything, not even exaggerating. Never had such a comfy bed and stay. We had trouble along the way to get there but they were extremely understanding and kind, seeing us off and even fulfilled a selfish request of mine.

The room might feel a bit too tight to comfortably open four 23 kg suitcases at the same time. Dinner options in the area is limited and could be a bit tricky to find out the opening hours (Google Map might not provide reliable information for some restaurants)

As beautiful as illustrated in the photo. It includes a double bed and two single futons. The host was nice and friendly.

The path into the accoms is quite narrow, but all is good if you are careful.

Host is very nice and friendly. Kind to provide us a farewell snack thats handmade. While the place is not huge for 4 pax, it is sufficient. Everything we need is there!

To stay in Wakka, you must have your own transport as it is quite deep in and roads leading in are not lighted.

The place is situated in a beautiful serene environment. I was happy the bath was elderly friendly as I was travelling with my 90 yr old mother and the couple running the Airbnb are very friendly. .

The bed was a little too soft (sunken), I would’ve preferred to have slept on a mattress with the futon like the traditional Japanese style

Perfect location, I loved waking up to sights of mountains, valleys and pine trees. This place is really quiet and peaceful. There are benches in the estate as well where we could enjoy breakfast. The room was well equipped with heater for the cold. The beds were super comfortable and the toilet very clean. Kitchenette was also well equipped with all that we need. The host was so kind to us by giving us a lift to the nearest train station everyday, because I forgot to bring my IDP and didnt manage to rent a car. They were so kind and friendly to us and i would really love to go back there again. My favorite stay during my holiday in Kyushu.

The road leading to Wakka is a single narrow lane for 2 way traffic and no lighting. Abit dangerous for people who've not been here before especially after dark.

Beautiful place with fantastic scenery. Beds, including the futon beds, are comfortable and mini kitchen is well equipped. Love the bath tub Owners are very friendly and welcoming. They even sent a note ahead of our arrival with their contact number in case we needed help finding the place.

Owner could have messaged us in advance to check if we would like breakfast. We went expecting to request for breakfast for the next day, but realised that we needed to reserve 5 days earlier.

We enjoyed the cozy wooden interior of the cabin and lovely views. Room was clean and owners were very friendly.

A cozy place to stay with a fantastic view of Mt. Aso right from the room. The hosts are wonderful. The room is spacious and clean, equipped with a microwave, stove, and some dishes and cups. Bring your favorite coffee to enjoy a morning sip on the small balcony with a beautiful view—such a memorable experience.

Very friendly couple running the lodge. Great view of Aso mountain range and clean facility. Summer stay gave us a glimpse of blueberry picking experience. Onigiri as gift was very tasty.

We loved this place, very clean and new (we stayed in the little house with two adjacent rooms). Great views from the rooms. Little nice garden outside. Very kind hosts who provided us with rice balls for our trip when we left. Road to house is small and narrow but no problem for our medium sized car.

The air-condition is placed right above our head so it is blowing on your head all night. We had to move the mattress off the bed so we could sleep comfortably. If you do not mind with the AC blowing on your head then it is fine.

The room is spacious and very clean, it is overlooking the mountain. The bath tub in the bathroom is big and we like the tatami floor. It has a small kitchen if you need to heat up something. The location is very serene and the host and hostess are very friendly.

We loved our stay at Wakka! We were greeted by the friendly couple and Akira the cat :) Even though we were early we could check in. The house was beautiful and cozy with lovely big windows to the mountains. It was super clean and well planned, so we could easily stay four people. The kind hostess gave us tips about nearby supermarket, so we coule buy food and eat at the outdor table :) When we left we were offerer homemade onigiri! We had a great time and would definitely stay again!

The little road into the house is really narrow and with some barriers, as all said. Must drive a small car and very cautious when driving in.

The breakfast (additional charge of 1200 yen per person) was so good and beats our expectation. You must have it if you are visiting. Need to send a message to them few days in advance to book it. The room spacy with great view! Has a small kitchen, microwave and small refrigerator in the room.

Beautiful view. Nice host. Everything we needed is in the cabin. Lots of parking space. I have the best sleep of my kyushu trip.
