layout of the room was a little odd with the bathroom being part of the area where you would keep your shoes on (but they give you slippers for that). entry to the room itself is also a little narrow, but just nit-picking at this point.

room was clean, and kept that way every day by the room cleaning service. wallpaper was torn and soiled but that didn't bother us at all due to the excellent room cleaning. two bottles of complimentary water were also provided daily, really appreciated that. bedsheets etc. changed on request with no fuss. bath towel + hand towel also provided daily. elevator available, just ask the staff (great for strollers). decent selection of amenities also available for free. Wi-Fi was fine, no issues there. lounge area is spacious and clean with big ceiling windows letting in natural light. reception was always friendly, helpful, and available. gift shop also has cool little local trinkets. hotel also features a neat "SHIP'S CAT" theme (look on the roof for a giant cat).

Breakfast ( japanese breakfast) was bit less( no Natto) its says around 50 varietion of breakfast but looks like around 20.

The little fridge was not cold enough and couldn't be adjusted. The bathroom is a weird design. When you open the door the entrance is blocked by the toilet. You have to squeeze past to get to the basin and shower.

Good location. 5 min walk from Kawaramachi station and easy to find. Every line on the Kotoden network goes there. Its only 2 stops from JR Takamatsu and the main bus station. Its also an airport bus stop. The room was good, bed was comfortable. There is a water stand and ice in the kitchen on the top floor. The buffet breakfast is amazing.

I think kitchen area bit small . Only really catered for 1 person given the single table. I think 2 smaller tables would be better. Or the main dining area could be better utilized after breakfast hours.

Good place for solo traveller's. I would stay there again. Happy they catered for cyclists.

Webase was my… base camp for the Setouchi Trienale and it was a great stay. I was apprehensive of hostels as I haven’t had an experience in a long time but this isn't the crowd of loud teens you might encounter in western countries so everybody is pretty quiet and I never felt bothered during my stay. The beds were more spacious and comfortable than I expected anf I slept soundly for three nights. The place is roughly 20-25mn from the port by foot which makes it convenient and not too tiresome to go back and forth to visit islands. It's also quite convenient to eat good restaurants and bars within 10-15mn of walk. Staff was friendly and of great help when I forgot my code or needed them to pick up my laundry.

Large room with really nice Japanese-style bathroom including a bathtub. We enjoyed that a lot since it was rather cold during our stay. Only downside in the room: the insulation of the windows is really bad. We had to cover the sill so we wouldn’t freeze in the night since it was just above the bed. Staff is really nice, accommodating and trying to help as much as they can. Breakfast was ok, could be a little more variety.
