The rooms were very hot. AC was set to 26C (79F). Air conditioning did little to cool the upper bunks. Everything was plywood (a trend I've noticed).

A very interesting setup... In the front, it's a GROOVY bar/restaurant, complete with a pool table and lots of coffee table books! In the back, there's a communal kitchen/bathroom and 4 "cubbyhole" sleeping spaces to each room... My room felt a bit cramped and was without windows, but that didn't bother me at all; I was there to sleep. The sleeping space was big enough for me and the room was warm and comfortable through the night. The location is about a 15 minute walk to the station, with shops and convenience stores along the way. I felt it was a tad pricey for the sleeping space...

Walls are quite thin, so it depends on your neighbours if the night will be quiet (it was no problem for me) However, it gets quite cold at night in the rooms, so you need to either stay under your blanket or put on a coat in the room. Futons are quite thin

While I loved it, I think most people would see it as a remodeled garage-type facility.

This place is quirky for sure. It seems like a really old building that's been made into a ninja house of hallways and toilets and showers and a sauna. I LOVED it, but I'm giving it a regular rating, because I think most non-backpackers would be disappointed in the overall setup, build quality, and lack of cleanliness.

Surprised by the talent and atmosphere, very bohemian and sheek. Talented host. Great location easy to find not far from the station. lots to do close at hand. Nice to be able to cook up a feed.

There were spider webs around the bedstructure, the kitchen was dirty and old and the whole place is really dark.

The beds were comfortable and there was a common area.

The showers weren't in the best kept state and it was quite run down- my curtain on my bed was completely broke and everything was just a little shabby. However, if you're looking for a cheap, no thrills stay its a good place to consider.

The shower was not good, it wasnt very clean and the door barley shut. The whole place smelled a bit off and the bed was not very comfortable.also the dorm room did not have any windows.

The hotel staff was very nice. The location was good right between the station and the Temple and only a 1 min walk from the bus stop. It was good value for the price.

Unfortunately, the AC was out. I'm sure it would've been a much better experience with AC. Even the staff seemed tired, so I'm sure it was just for this time.

The staff were very friendly and helpful overall. Pleasant vibes in the bar area. Cool decor in the main part of the building. They have a sauna, so going during the winter would probably be even better than the summer. They also have Billiards.

I really hate when the staff ask me to watch the video to learn anything needed for stay in this hotel. I think it was forceful and not all people could take it. But as the cheapest hotel, I could tolerate that with compulsion

The bed was very comfortable, overall is okay for me. The cleanliness was okay to. The bathroom was small, but still okay for me. The most important thing that this was the cheapest but really worth hotel near (around 2km) Nagano station.

There was no soap and shampoo in the shower cubicle. There was facial wash and some other cosmetic/toiletry I’m not familiar with. Also the door handles of the toilets are weird.

Likely just out of season (Late November), but we hoped there would have been more people staying there at the same time as us, we really like to share in a hostel culture with other people and the site would be extraordinary for hanging out and making new friends in.

Great central location just down the hill from Zenkoji Temple, and there is a great bakery just next door! Very cool decor, and the bar lounge area is really confortable and welcoming.

Paid for a room of 4 and was given a room of 8! Not clean Very uncomfortable Pay to use towels etc. Air Con didn't work properly Bed was like sleeping on rock

Was quite dirty around the sinks and showers, only a curtain covers your bed so noise comes in and escapes easily. Food at the bar was extremely overpriced for the smallest and simple portions.

Common room was super chill and had a great atmosphere.
