Korinkyo accommodated our special requests of checking in early & arranging transport to the airport with ease. The hotel is well-situated near all the museums. The staff is kind & accommodating, even calling to make reservations for us or preparing hand-written letters to better communicate with us. The hotel is very quirky. With a unique concrete design done to a moderate level of specification. Lots of good treats & teas in the room. There is no coffee makers in the room, but you can pop down to the lounge on Floor 2 & the team will cheerfully prepare one for you. We were able to accommodate our family of 5 over two rooms in the hotel.

Hotel had so much character and was just beautifully presented. Was so calm and peaceful. Staff were so helpful and kind. The lounge with complimentary drinks was an unexpected bonus and the mini bar was restocked each day with treats and drinks. We also used the rooftop sauna and onsen which was a lovely treat. Breakfast was delicious - both western and taiwanese options. We were so sad to leave!

The city view rooms are stunning but not sound proofed so the traffic is very noticeable at night. With earplugs it’s fine but would have been perfect if it were just a bit more insulated. Perhaps why the rooms at the back sold out so early.

We liked the quiet calming ambiance in a fabulous location in Kanazawa. We walked to all the museums, gardens, and restaurants we wanted to visit. Then we came back to the Korinkyo for the evening with the welcoming and helpful staff and our room with more comforts than we could have thought of ourselves.

This was a calming stay in the city. I can’t say enough about the facilities and the staff. Everyone and everything was thoughtful to the details of comfort and calmness. The architecture is modern Japanese minimalism and the towels and linens are of excellent quality. The location is within walking distance of museums, gardens, fine dining, and high end shopping.

The sensor lights in the room. Apparently there was also a projector TV somewhere but we didn't find it.

Korinkyo is an absolutely beautiful hotel. Our room was huge with a stunning bath and a cute seating area overlooking the street. There were complimentary drinks in the fridge and the Taiwanese breakfast was very tasty. The rooftop spa and sauna is definitely worth booking for a relaxing dip with views across the park. Overall it was a unique hotel experience well worth the money.
