How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Verified reviewThe hotel is very new, with good location, just few minutes walk from JR station. The bathroom is nice. Room is comfortable.
The room cleaner did not throw away our coffee bag with 2 empty coffee cups, near the rubbish truck. Hotel is lacking the manpower. I did not see many hotel staffs to assist. Hotel is using the lockers to keep bag after check out and they require the “actual transportation card” to complete. However nowadays most of us are using the e-transportation card in the Apple wallet. It took some time to solve our luggages without any informative instructions.

Verified reviewAll staffs are very helpful. Even before the stay, they were very active responding to every inquiries I had. On the arrival date, my flight arrived early, the staff were promptly to support my early check in. The rooms are very clean and comfort. The location has easy access to train station for travelers to carry their luggages in a walking distance. In additon the hotel is acessessible to shopping malls and restuarants.

Verified reviewOnce we found the shortest path from hotel to the train station it became very convenient to travel. It takes < 10 min to get to the Yokohama station from the hotel. In Japan this is invaluable and saved us a lot of time in transfers while travelling to places. There are hundreds of train stations but you end up needing transfers, finding a place near the main station will save you a lot of time. The room was very spacious with a great view of the city. We were on the 12th floor. Every room configuration is different and ours (deluxe king room) was a large room with a wall of floor to ceiling windows. There was enough space in the room to line our 3 large and 3 small bags along the windows without them getting in the way. Even with the sofa converted to a full bed we felt the space was roomy. The shower and toilet were modern clean and spacious. The toiletry amenities were high quality. The double sinks were spacious and helped us get ready without getting in each others way. We didn't use the washer/dryer which is available on certain floors. You can monitor progress of your machine on the TV which is cool. There is some space in the entryway to hand a few clothes and a 2 drawer dresser good for one person. We did not try the restaurants but did purchase at the cafe/bakery in the lobby which had great options albeit a little pricey. Use the "world currency exchange yokohama sogo" it's right across the canal in the Sogo building on the 6th floor. Get snacks and drinks at the Aeon mall, way cheaper than 7-11. Plenty of restaurants within 10 mi walking distance.
The hotel lobby is on the 6th floor of a mall, finding it was tricky. The quickest way from the station was to take the west exit and use the elevator and walkways that lead to the ground floor of the mall that has and outside escalator or interior elevators to take you to the lobby. No dresser to unpack clothes for 3 people, the 2 drawer dresser is enough for one person. No microwave in the room, each floor has a microwave in a "utility" room that has Ice and a vending machine as well.
