The location is ok , close enough to the subway stops so you aren’t hauling luggage everywhere . But you’ll need the subway to get to any of the sites .

A small boutique hotel with large rooms (for Japan) with everything you could possibly need available. Awesome shower comfortable bed and great pillows. I extended my stay because I was so comfortable and well looked after.

Nothing... Maybe the fact that the sun came out at 4:45 am (summer), and although the curtains are thick, there is a bit of space between the curtains and the wall and the light slips in.

Everything. The beautifully decorated room. The bath and shower. The comfort of the bed. The quietness of the place! The size of the room (we were upgraded since we stayed more than 5 nights). We keep coming back to this hotel whenever we visit Kyoto. We are never disappointed. The staff is very helpful and friendly too.

Outstanding hotel and such a large and comfortable room. Everything was of the highest quality including a large and very comfortable bed - the jet bath was a real plus. The hotel is close to the metro and there were so many eating options in the area - a really good location for foodies! Best of all were the staff who went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our stay. I highly recommend this hotel.

Very comfortable beds, and nice rooms. Decently large as well. Enjoyed that we didn't need to bring the key, but left it at the reception when we went out. Very good location with a quiet are, but also a short distance to the main areas of the city!

Handy location to town while not being too close. So felt quiet and had a real neighbourhood vibe. Lovely little restaurants on the surrounding streets. Very quiet and the staff were super helpful. Room size was great for three of us.

It was perfect! Just be sure to check if you ask reception when they make a dinner reservation for you it is non smoking. We didnt, so ended up leaving the place they booked due to all the smokers at a sushi restaurant

I feel there was a misunderstanding about the beds. The room had double bed + futon. We paid for extra bed, so my understanding was that we were supposed to have a room with a double bed, futon + extra bed, instead, there were no extra beds in the hotel, they just prepare the futon for that extra fee.. That made our sleeping arrangements not very comfortable, but we were able to find a reasonable solution with the hotel personnel.

The hotel was clean, had all the amenities, quite strategic location for a short stay in Kyoto. Spacious rooms.

Amazing Charming Hotel.. the bed is so comfortable and the shower is amazinnggggg.. so well designed and has nice facilities like jaccouzi and water fountain.. location is a bit far from centre but it was ok like 15 min walk from the centre.. lovely staff..

We stayed for 6 nights and the hotel plus the room was really nice. The room was large, sound proofed and the shower was awesome. It is walking distance to subway line and many many hidden gems of eating places…just remember to go early or book in advance. What makes the hotel excellent is the staff members who really go out of their way to meet any needs. Thanks for a great stay 👍🏽

Great location, lovely staff, lovely space. Transferred our reservation forward two days free of charge after we got trapped in the UK due to Heathrow airport fire and risked missing our first two nights stay. Got upgraded on arrival too!
