How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The bathroom was in the middle of the room and so using it was quite awkward.
It was close enough to Dotonbori that we could walk there comfortably. I liked that their toiletries are on the first level and you can take what you need.

My only problem was the fridge had a noise that randomly came on in outbursts lasting around five minutes or so which interrupted an otherwise peaceful hotel
Location is great and amenities are in abundance 24 hour reception so you don’t have to worry about time

The room was big with three double bed for 3 of us. It is clean and beds are very comfortable. The bonus is the hot bad and sauna. It is right in the centre and about 10 minutes to metro. We would stay here again. We stay at 4 hotels in Japan during our trip, this hotel js the best .

Very nice hotel with a good Onsen. The hotel offers a lot of recommendations about local food. These were excellent. Very professional and polite staff. Great place to discover the Dotonbori area.

I have no complaints. Everything is perfect
The location and the staff is always amazing The rooms are always clean, the service is excellent and the onsen is always great. This was my second time at this hotel and I'll comeback everytime

The beds were really hard, stone hard and the pillows as well. They need to be updated.
The staff was excellent as always in Japan, very friendly and polite. They had many amenities available to use free of charge. They had a very nice public bath as well. The location was very good.

Having to return the key to the front desk each time we left the building. This didn’t make my personal belongings that I left in the room feel secure.
This property was in a great location for those first time in Japan, safe area and easy walk to Dotonbori, the staff were helpful and the rooms were clean and a good size. I would recommend for families staying on Osaka and looking for convenience.

Not a complaint but as I am over 6' tall I find the beds in Japanese hotels to be a little short (my feet tend to hang over the end

Our toilet broke but they swapped rooms for us straight away
Loved the location, the grocery store underneath, had products downstairs and had baths inside the hotel for you to use. Great for both women and men. Smokers or non-smokers

The location of the Hotel is very good, the cleanliness is perfect and the spa is an unforgettable experience. Spacious room. A highly recommended Hotel. If we return to Osaka we will definitely repeat. We had a problem with the room door and all the staff were attentive to us, especially Serika. They informed us how the problem was being solved and that we didn't miss anything. Very happy with the treatment received and for us a hotel of 10.

This stay I had a room at the corner of the building which had a slightly odd configuration - the entryway corridor was extra long but this meant the chair and small table space was in a funny layout which meant I couldn't really sit at the table properly.
It's my second time staying at this hotel and I'd still highly recommend it! The location is just far enough away from the bustle of Dotonbori and yet has good transport links. The building may be a little on the older side but the rooms and amenities are generally comfortable, clean and value for money. The on-site bath is also such a great option and is open late - washing off the grime from a day of exploring and then having a relaxing soak at midnight always felt so great!
