Thank you very much for choosing to stay at our inn in Hida Furukawa, a sister town of Takayama. While hotel-style accommodations have become mainstream even in Japan, our establishment continues to welcome guests in the traditional ryokan style, offering hospitality rooted in old customs. We are truly grateful that you enjoyed the atmosphere and culture of Japan’s countryside. Our inn is nestled within the winding alleyways of an old townscape, and since the parking area is located behind the lodging building, we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. To preserve the historical scenery, installing large signage is difficult, but we will explore possible improvements to make access easier. Should the opportunity arise again, we hope you will return and feel as though you are coming home to your house in Japan.

As your visit was for two nights, we served kaiseki cuisine on the first evening and a sukiyaki-style kaiseki on the second. The local Hida beef is recognized alongside Kobe beef and Matsusaka beef as one of the top-ranked varieties of wagyu. The "Seika no Ma" is the only suite in our ryokan featuring an exclusive foot bath area as well as a private open-air bath. The suite overlooks the soothing babble of the Araki River, beautifully harmonizing with the ryokan's garden and the grand temple on the opposite bank. During the blooming season (typically mid-April), guests can enjoy the magnificent cherry blossoms right in front of the room, all to themselves.
