One of my favorite stays on the Henro. Veggie friendly for meals, card friendly, English is spoken. We booked a private room and it was just beautiful. Down to the smallest detail, everything was so well thought of. Would love to stay again.

Communal rooms are always challenging sleep-wise!

Such a fun sociable vibe in this hostel. Would love to come back and volunteer one day. Delicious and cheap curry rice that I booked in advance.

Beatiful guesthouse with friendly host ...amazing pilgrimage temple 500 metres away ...breathtaking . We went to japanese restaurant nearby ..food was soo good ...chef wasbrilliant Lawson convenient store nearby Cant fault this accomodation ...just so convenient

The place was very clean, kitchen was well equiped and i also enjoyed bar next door with draft beer. Bed was super comfy and room was spacious. I would definately stay again, thank you!:)

This was my first time sleeping in a mixed dorm room. I was grateful that the men who were there were all Henro pilgrims!

The beds were very comfortable and quite easy to get a good nights sleep!

The owners are very friendly and the accommodation is unique and has a great fun vibe. There is a pub on the property with beer, wine and cocktails and good music. Our kids loved the cat who is also friendly. Free bikes to ride around town. Walk from the station. Great views from the rooftop area. Clean and comfortable. We rented a private family room. Would definitely come back again.

I hate the fact that there is a structural beam just above my upper bed. Granted its 1 out of the 6 beds in the Dormitory. Just be careful not to hit that.

Convenient location at Hiwasa. On the road just opposite Temple 23. Nice English speaking staff (she is European to begin with). Very homey common area. Plenty of food around if you are not too late.

Super cool hostel with a very cozy communal area. Erica and Umi were great and Hiwasa was a super cool little town. I stayed in the family room as a single, which was still very affordable. The room was great with access to a large deck and views of the river. There's also a sweet little pub that Erica and Umi run next door. Both the hostel and pub are full of cool woodcraft and pictures.

Stayed there after visiting Temple 23. The owners were great! They did everything possible to assure a pleasant stay. The town is super cute and a great place to rest after walking to the first 23 temples

Only one sink for brushing teeth besides the one in the kitchen. 2 toilets and 2 showers were no problem!

A cool hostel with unique bathroom faucets. The owners took us guests to a tasty ramen shop down the road and whipped up some excellent cocktails in the evening. It's a great place to relax and meet fellow travelers

Lovely, stylish hostel within a walk of the train station. The onwers are friendly and there's a cool, cosy cocktail bar attached with good tunes. The place is in a quiet location and they offer bikes free of charge. Definately would stay again
