The staff welcomed us wholeheartedly and helped us with nearly everything, including our luggage, recommendations and making a reservation at a local yakiniku restaurant. The staff members spoke good English so that also helped us a lot! The private bathroom was relaxing and the room and futons were really good. The simple breakfast was smart and sufficient to us, too. The location is just a 10 minute (very slightly uphill but straight) walk from the railway station, and the Lawson conbini (24/7) is very close by if you need anything else. Definitely would recommend this place!

The staff was particularly helpful. A Yukata and basket were provided to visit outside onsens, which was very practical and helpful. The breakfast included in the stay was very helpful on our checkout day because we had to leave very early.

The hotel has only a private onsen which you could book for a fee, but it is expected from the description. Not the most central location, but still pretty close to the restaurants and onsens.

The hotel looks new or recently renovated, so everything is very clean. The staff provided recommendations for food and entertainment in the area. They also provide discount coupons for public onsens in the area. The hotel provides yukatas which you can wear outside.

    Attached bathroom is too small

Convience location, friendly and helpful staff with Chinese speaking. Tatami is comfortable and room is big enough. The hotel provide enough yukata for our group, we wear it for dinner and city walk

Room was a bit small and so was the bathroom, but it's expected for such a hotel. Was not a problem in general for us of 180-190cm height.

Small, few rooms hotel. Had tatami floor in the room. Room was very clean, had nice view to the river. Reception was wonderful, spoke very good english and was helpful all the way around! Had a nice private onsen with view to nice small garden for extra charge.

The staff was very friendly and the hotel was very clean and beautiful! The bed was very comfortable. The hotel lets you lend a yukata and you can use it everywhere you go. The private onsen is also very pretty.

I didn't like the breakfast, was really poor because it was only some bread, a little croissant and a soup. If you like basic breakfast this shouldn't be a problem

The room is very big, everything is really tidy and in a perfect position. We also booked the private onsen, amazing experience

We were so in love with this hotel. It was stylish and minimalist, and the rooms smelt incredibly woody and clean. Loved the onsen recommendations. Ideally located for onsen street and Gassho-mura. Breakfast was ok.

The room could use a bit more storage space for suitcases, clothes etc. Breakfasts were the same every day, it would be nice to have a bit variety for soups. The sampoo bottles were a bit moldy, it would be nice to clean them too before refilling. Rest of the things were clean.

Hotel is beautiful, and rooms are really nice and clean as well. English speaking staff was truly amazing, kind and explained everything to us. Private onsen is really relaxing and fun. Also, Gero is such a great town! We really enjoyed out stay. Thank you :)

This accommodation is beautiful! We were greeted by lovely staff, everything was clean, and the private onsen was stunning. The only thing I disliked about the accommodation was the comfort of the futon beds. I personally found it uncomfortable and would have loved an extra layer to the bed, however my partner slept like a baby, so it's definitely personal preference. We would definitely stay here again!

Their staff was super friendly and helpful—the guide they made was very useful for us to get around the town. The location is a bit hillside but nearer to Gassho Village Museum. It's not too far from the area where you can find food. The room is huge for two people and very clean and comfortable. Amenities are complete. They provide two sets of towels that you bring outside the hotel if you decide to use the outside onsen. They also provide yukata that you can wear to go out for onsen hopping or just for sleep. There's a private onsen inside this hotel that we can book for a fee. Breakfast was complimentary, and it was delicious. We definitely will be staying at this hotel again when we come back to Gero again.
