Really good facilities. Shared bathroom but only between two rooms - has nice large shower and extras including hairdryer. We were also able to use the washing machine and dryer for free in the building which was a lifesaver! Really friendly staff.

The hostel was only marked with a sign in kanji, so I had a hard time locating it (walked in the wrong place next door first). I think there is a sign they hang out in english when nobodys home to tell you to call a number. Luckily the cleaning lady was home when I arrived, otherwise I would have been out of luck, because I can't make calls in Japan. There was only a sliding door between my room and the neighbors room. I could clearly hear what they were talking about. Luckily nobody snored.

It was a nice room, friendly staff in a good location.

We were told that the second floor was entirely available for our use, but found that those staying on floors one and three had to use the bathroom on our floor. Also, the entrance area was rather narrow given that there were around 10 people staying here.

A conveniently located premises, opposite a park. No parking on site, but parking available only a couple of minutes walk away.

We loved the Japanese style house, access to kitchen and washer dryer, and comfortable bedding. The hosts are very friendly and hospitable. There was an error with our room allocation and they went above and beyond to rectify it. The location is handy to restaurants and sights and we felt very comfortable there.

When I booked I didn’t realize it was night next to a love hotel and a slightly more rough and tumble going out area. Normally I would have loved this location, but I was with my mom and we had bikes that we were worried about getting taken, so it wasn’t ideal.

The bed / room were comfortable. The owners were very nice. All in all it was a very relaxing guest house

I wasn't happy about the extra 2,000 yen hidden cleaning fee. The address is also incorrect and sent me to the wrong location in google maps. Please fix it.

It's not a rule but you have to maintain a low voice considering there's a different person next to your room.You can even hear what's the next person to your room talking about.

The room is comfortable and the owner is very friendly.Its exceeded my expectations.The place is clean too. Will definitely come here again if I'm going to Matsuyama.

No other guests at time so cant complain. However maybe might be an issue due to thin walls and kids.

We thought this was a hotel but it is a very basic Air B&B. No stff and no one around to let us in but a phone number to ring to arrange someone to come and open up. Very uncomfortable beds and had to share toilet and bathroom.. booked for a week but left after one night. The use of a picture not of the hostel was very misleading.

Nothing. There was mold all over the mattress and the bed frame. Would you wanna stay here? Please look at the pictures and tell me this is OK? Booking.com make this right and don't tell me you'll give me 20 dollars.

Absolutely nothing. That this place has such a high ratting is mind boggling. My so called bed was a pull out chair that turned in to a bed if thats what you wanna call it, it was anything but flat. It was a joke. I had to sleep on the floor. After paying 80 dollars for a room. I'll let the pictures do the talking do not stay here. Plus booking.com gives you an addresses for a love hotel next door not where you actually booked. STAY AWAY TRUST ME. Booking.com this will be the last time I use you it what a joke

The property smells quite a bit. We had the windows open often to try and ease it.

The host is lovely. Speaks no English and us very little Japanese but we made do with translate. The accommodation is very pleasant; a little dated but the photos show this. Towels included and property has a washing machine.

My room was next to the communual kitchen so if other guest started cooking early in the morning it woke me uo but beside this absolutely no complains.

Location was good Easy to get around on foot or public transport . The day i arrived was late sunday afternoon The super friendly Japanese couple who run this place even brought me to Matsuyama castle with their private car, so i could still visit it before closing time .

Nothing. It was great! I would only suggest a drying rack for clothes as an alternative option to the dryer. Not a complaint at all, just a suggestion.

Spacious and comfortable, especially for Japanese properties which is hard to find as a family of five. It had all amenities, including a kitchen with cooktops, two toilets, and a washing machine/dryer located in the powder room. The owners were very friendly and helpful, and made sure we had all we needed to enjoy the property and the city. If you would like a comfortable traditional Japanese stay within easy walking distance to shops, transport and attractions, would recommend this property!

Nothing really. You need to call to check in, so make sure to either contact the owner early enough via bookign or have a possibilty to call, when you arrive. Quite some stairs if you would have a lot of luggage.

The service was great and we talked a lot with the owner. The room was typical japanese, which we enjoyed a lot. Location was perfect between the city centre and Dogo onsen. 20 min per foot in each direction.
