Multiple onsen with dry saunas and steam rooms was worth the extra travel out of Kyoto. Shuttle service was fantastic. Loved the facial products in the rooms. Lots of special surprises that made me feel very welcomed and appreciated. Food was fantastic, timely and so was the service. Breakfast buffet was superb. Lighting set the relaxed mood in the reception area and even in the hallways. Definitely a thoughtful venue and they deserve 5stars!

A little bit of a maze to get to certain onsen, but worth the adventure!

The room and the facilities were exceptional. We had dinner and breakfast served in the room which was very delicious Japanese cuisine. It's a little out of the way and will take some time to get to but it's very peaceful so it's worth it, and the Hotel staff arranged a shuttle for us from the nearest train station. This hotel is quite expensive but its definitely worth it if you're wanting to stay in a classy Japanese style hotel.

it was a great experience - wonderful having your own private onsen and private dining for dinner and breakfast - definitely happy we booked this experience.

the bed was a little firm but all the beds are a bit firmer here. The non-feathered option for a pillow was the buckwheat pillow.

The hot spring was amazing. Very clean and not crowded at all. The ambience was also top notch. One of the best dinner and breakfast I had in Japan. Staff was extremely polite. Room was comfortable and lots of amenities were provided.

Amazing stay at a newly renovated hotel, friendly staff, and comfortable facilities. Dinner was a course meal and breakfast was a buffet style, with both having a lot of dishes. The place is 1.5km from the train station, but has an excellent shuttle service you can call from a phone at the station. They have many onsen pools which were usually either empty or 1-2 people, which felt quiet and relaxing. Also a sauna and a cold pool next to it which was amazing.

If you're staying for more than a night you might not have things to do in the area.

The lobby was nice and the room was spacious and well appointed . We got the in suite onsen and it was small but so nice to have available right there. The “public” onsen that I went to were very nice. The in room meals were the highlight though. One of the best experiences of our whole trip. AMAZING!!!! Most of it locally sourced too. I would come back just to eat!

The phone at the train station is a bit of a funky experience and our check-in took longer than expected. The outside of the hotel is pretty unassuming, and for whatever reason, I thought it was on the lake but it is actually across the street and behind another hotel. Still a view but not as prominent as you would think and our room had a wooden board covering the lake facing window. I don’t know why.

The hotel was beautiful and I enjoyed the four different onsens in there. A few of the onsens (indoor) were a little on the older side, but the outdoor rock pool was spectacular. The facilities were really great. Dinner was really high quality food, although I felt a bit rushed. The breakfast buffet was spectacular.

I felt a bit rushed for dinner as the courses were coming too fast.

The room was spacious and clean. Free snacks and tea were included, and amenities were readily available. Dinner was excellent, and breakfast was good, too. I tried 3 out of 4 of the public baths (none of the reservable private ones, though) and found them all to be very nice. I liked the indoor one on the 8th floor (which had an open air as well) the most, though the open air bath on the 11th floor was great , too. Staff were very friendly and warm, too. It was easy to access from Ogoto onsen station because there's a phone that allows you to call the shuttle bus.
