Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

SingaporeCheck in a bit awkward. Automated, not sure why. No people here? Blocked window thing unsettling. A bit pricey for what its is.
Excellent modern hotel in rather rural Tsuwano. We booked a large room which was commodious, but had no views from the "windows" at all. Great "outdoor" bathroom. Excellent custom-served breakfast.

United StatesNice but disorganized. They don’t explain anywhere that you need to reserve meals a day in advance and there were several miscommunications including the belief I had been scheduled for 7:30 breakfast only to show up then not being able to accommodate me. Tsuwano is not flush w nice places to eat and many are closed. Fist place out of 20 that I stayed on this trip where I did not feel totally welcomed, and this in a town struggling for visitors!

AustraliaDinner service was somewhat chaotic, with a long delay before drink orders were taken. The ordering of sake was very confusing to us, so we didn't bother. Check in and check out instructions and practices were needlessly complex.
Staff were very friendly and the hotel has attractive decor and is in an excellent location about 10 minutes walk from the station. Our rooms were comfortable despite being small. Dinner was delicious.

United StatesHotel is new and very classy. Great location near the train station, but everything is near in this small, beautiful , historic, and friendly town. Our relatively inexpensive Queen room was unbelievably small. So small the bathroom only had a toilet and sink. No bath or shower. (We didn’t notice that “bath” or “shower” were not listed in the bathroom amenities!) If you want a bath, you can use the cleaning stations on the top floor onsen during their open hours. We compensated for the small size by expanding our concept of room to include the onsen and lobby, and it pretty much worked. Otherwise you can spring for the larger rooms which are quite a bit more expensive. No coffee in the room, but really good coffee available in the lobby most of the time. Hotel onsen was nice. Staff were very friendly. Not much English. The hotel promotes local cultural activities such as town tours with high school students, and local products like sake, and some language exchange encounters. Breakfasts and dinners were excellent, and included several courses. Well worth the expense. The staff may tell you there are very few places open for dinner in town, but that didn’t seem to be the case for us. Right across the street is an excellent okonamiyaki restaurant and a sushi restaurant with good salads and nabe. You must reserve brkfst and dinner in advance at the hotel, and at most places in town, it’s a good idea. Some close during the week and fill on weekends. Lawsons convenience store will come in handy if you have trouble. Be sure to visit the Taikodani Inari Shrine! We would stay there again.

JapanI loved this place. Admittedly, staying in a Japanese-style room means taking out your own futon but that's par for the course. There was no shower in the room, but again, that's the name of the game. (I wouldn't let any of this stop you staying here. Lovely hotel.)
Fantastic hotel in a lovely little town. Both the hotel, and Tsuwano itself, exceeded all expectations. I travel around slightly-off-the-beaten-track spots like this in Japan a lot and try to find charming little ryokans or minshukus that are value for money. Don't think I've ever found a better one than this. From the entrance it is clear you're entering a place that's punching above its weight. It looks much nicer than you'd expect for the price. Turned up early and the friendly staff were more than happy to let me check in early and make use of the facilities which include a very nice little rooftop bath (rotenburo) and - remarkably - free drinks, including whiskey and shochu, in the little area on the ground floor from 5pm. The hotel place was spotless (it looks very new) and the Japanese-style breakfast was very nice indeed. I'l definitely visit Tsuwano again one day, and I'll definitely stay here.

DenmarkWalkable from Tsuwano station. The reception staff were very kind. As a solo traveller I prefer to get a plan with breakfast and dinner and I enjoyed the diverse and delicious meals at Yutorelo Tsuwano. Each meal has great variety and menus don't repeat from day to day so you get the opportunity to eat different food. I enjoyed the free tea, coffee, snack and drinks offered in the "cafe". As for sight-seeing in Tsuwano, the town presents the sites with a range of ukiyo-e pictures to show the historical landscapes and townscapes and we can see what remains today. A lot of the town is well preserved from the Edo period. Both the Inari shrine and the Tsuwano castle involves some hiking so the hotel's shared onsen bath is a treat to come back to after a day of exploring. If you are a day-tripper you can leave your luggage at the kind bike shop in front of the station and cover the town by pedal power. If you come on weekends you can catch the old steam train which runs from Tsuwano to Yamaguchi

Hong KongRoom was tiny. Online pre-registration didn’t work so we didn’t have a chance to book our breakfast and dinner time. Only some odd slots left for us. Parking was full when we arrived so we were directed to park at the back. The catch is we needed to move the car away before 10 am the next day. Our bed was not set up on day 1 as I was told that we we were supposed to give instructions. Wish the hotel had told us such requirements when we checked in.
Onsen and food were good. Free coffee and alcohol
