the yurts feel a bit tired. beds not so comfy. a guest only shower area would be a good addition. the open to the public one gets a bit ick and busy on weekends.

the location is amazing. staff friendly and helpful. nice clean up food prep area. good bbq at their restaurant.

The coin operated showers were very basic.

We stayed in a charming Pao yurt right next to the beach. It had comfortable beds and enough space for four people. The beach is great and you can walk to the Benesse art gallery or take the town bus (or cycle) to other parts of the island. We really enjoyed the dinner where you are provided with a generous platter of meat, seafood and vegetables to grill yourself on a BBQ set into the table.

Not a lot of luxury, but considering the nature of the site I had a wonderful stay.

The location on the beach and the walking distance to the Benesse art site. Also the view of the Kusama pumpkin. The caravan was quite cosy and temperature inside was excellent.

The Japanese style mats were a bit worn out - Making it difficult for sleep - Not sure what is typical for this style - but the Pads seems well worn.

The huts were so cute and being right on the beach was beautiful. There was air conditioning which was a lifesaver for us during the hot summer. My only regret was not buying any merch.

We arrived in Naoshima to find that all of the art museums were closed that week (middle of June!), so we ended up NOT staying in the yurt at all and just went to Takamatsu instead. We rode rental bikes from the port to the campground, which was fun. However, if you have any luggage at all, you will not be able to get to the campground with it. The bus does not take luggage, and the taxis are essentially unavailable. You will need to store the luggage in a luggage locker at the port, and rent a bicycle. I would not recommend walking, although you could (it's about an hour walk from Miyanoura port). I suppose if you want to "get away from it all" and disconnect, the location is good. For our family on our vacation, the location was a logistical challenge to get to for just a one night stay. The restaurant was closed, so I can't comment on the food. There was a food vending machine. There is not much to do at the campground other than just relax or go in the ocean. The only real reason to go is for the museums. The Bennesse house is a short walk, but I can't comment on the museum because it was closed.

The yurts are very cute inside; it was more than just a tent. The outsides are not very interesting. The yurts do have air conditioning. They would be fatal otherwise.

Toilet in the rain at night was a little inconvenient- but you can’t change the weather.

Beach and swim metres away from yurt. Lovely scenery. Great for walks. Bus stop outside. Vending machines machines with, among other things, frozen meals as a fall back. Microwaves right there. Staff were extremely helpful, going above and beyond - but best to use the translate app.

The beds are very firm

What an amazing place! A perfect location to take a break from the tourist crowds, wonderful swimming beach, right next to bennesse Art museums for evening strolls, lovely & helpful owners AND good luck fireworks - all this with a sea view from your yurt! Cafes for dinner etc a short bus ride. Highly recommended:)

It sucks that the museums were closed the day we were there, I was really looking forward to a BBQ dinner on the beach. Also, the water in the ocean was colder than I expected, but what can you do about that? Be prepared to have to "figure things out" like which ferry to take when and where to get on the island bus, etc. but that was part of the adventure.

This was really neat, the yurts or tents or whatever we stayed in were fantastic, plenty of space, good lighting and AC, mini-fridge, etc. The location was fantastic, right on the beach. First time falling asleep to the sound of waves lapping the shore. Lots of sea creatures and art to explore and QUIET, a nice break from the hustle and bustle of places like Osaka and Tokyo.

The springs in the mattress pressed uncomfortably on my back.

The staff was very kind and helpful. After a long, tiring day it was so nice coming ”home” to a lovely hibachi, fantastic dinner with the breeze and sounds from the sea. I loved opening the door to the “yurt” for the first time and being happily surprised. And thrilled to find the big Yellow Pumpkin so close ! Buses stopped right thete too!

Not the property’s fault, of course, but it rained all the time it was there. Cosy in my yurt, though. Springs in the bed were a little uncomfortable, but I put a couple of blankets underneath my bedsheet and that solved it.

I’ve always wanted to stay in a yurt. This was a novel experience, right by the beach and in sight of Yayoi Kusama’s yellow spotted pumpkin!

If you're not a small person, the camper van beds might be a bit uncomfortable.

I enjoyed everything. The staff was super kind and helpful. The location is beautiful, it's very close to Benesse art site and there is even a shuttle that goes to each location. 🥢 There is a restaurant nearby that has delicious foods with reasonable prices. It may not be open all the time but do not miss it if you see it open!! 🌸 In general, it was calm and serene. I had one of the best days of my trip.

The futons were a bit thin.
