The 2 beds were a bit soft and the futtons really had.

We checked in at night and self check in with code number was so hard to see. It took us 10 minutes to get the right number to unlock the door. Only one bathroom downstairs.

Accommodation had car park nearby. It was big enough for big group of people. Beds were comfortable. Clean house with big table for having meals or drinks together. Good location near the station in local streets. Very quiet.

We could not access the accommodation WiFi so had to use our pocket wifis.

The space was much larger than expected, and the sunken kotatsu table was great. It was easy to find and very conveniently located to the station with a Lawson combini within 2 minutes. Everything was clean and tidy.

The property has very thin walls, and even has a sound meter inside to encourage guests to stay quiet. TV did not have an HDMI connection for connecting our own devices to.

Location near the station and a super market is very convenient. There is a space to store your bicycles indoors.

One suggestion I have for the managers of the space is to create a bit of a walkway from the kitchen/bath areas to the base of the staircase. Right now, you have to constantly switch between bare feet and slippers when going from the kitchen or bathroom to the sleeping spaces upstairs. Just make a raised platform along the side of the stairs, in front of the washer/dryer so that you can get to the stair case that leads to the upstairs space, please :)

As the name describes, this one-family-per-stay space is catered especially to a cyclist or cyclists. There is ample room upstairs for multiple guests, and the kitchen and shared spaces are generously sized for a group. The space is located very close to Onomichi train station, which is in turn close to many bicycle rental and servicing facilities, and close to ferry docks, and anywhere you'd want to cycle to!

The beds were too soft. We were afraid they would hurt our backs. They provide 4 futon sets so we slept on tatami using futon provided. It was very comfortable. We loved sleeping in the tatami.

It is very spacious and clean. We loved the location. It is located in a quiet residential neighborhood and a big supermarket is near by. They provide everything we needed. I would definitely come back.

Listing on Booking.com is misleading. Carefully worded to sound like a room in a hotel/inn as its name suggests, which was what I was expecting. But this is NOT a hotel, or even a room in a hotel, so should not claim to be. This is an entire residential property with self check-in, which I tend to avoid, and this NOT made obvious in the description. It is not clear there is no reception or place to leave bags before check-in, so I had to find coin lockers near station. Afterwards I learnt it's listed very clearly as a whole property on Airbnb. Trying to appeal to two styles of travellers on each platform when it cannot. While it has basic amenities which are fine, there were hairs/dirt/dust on the floors, no couch to relax at the end of a long day sightseeing. This listing might be ok if you want a whole property, but NOT fine of you are expecting a traditional hotel/inn as the description states. There are no staff except Japanese-speaking over the phone, and responses by email took hours. Had to send passport photos by email before arrival, which is also not made clear until a few hours before I was due to check in. This deception absolutely left a terrible impression and I would not recommend.

We couldn't use the WiFi and owner said "There's nothing I can do." Not allowed to keep luggage for few hours after checking out and the owner didn't reply for any storage suggestion while asking. The check out time is 10am but someone tried to open the door at about 9:30am. I hope it was not the owner or it would just be too rude.
