Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

The location is very crowded during day time.

Issues with the shower running cold, Daniel moved us to another room, lower floor, better room than originally allocated !! Intermittent wi-fi, which again was sorted out promptly. Went to the restaurant for a meal, ordered and we were told the wait would be 10-15 minutes, we waited 50 minutes and nearly walked out, bearing in mind that the restaurant was almost empty.
Staff very helpful and cheerful especially Daniel, nothing was too much trouble for him, if we had an issue, he sorted it straight away. Cleaners and house help did a good job, always busy.

Not many parking spaces, but we just hot dropped off so was okay for us. Calling the reception before you could call the lift was a bit annoying but I understand why they do this as there are shops on the lower floors & it stops people who are not guests coming up. The toilet in the bathroom was in a really strange place, too close to the wall for legs.
For the price this is a great place to stay in Nakuru. Rooms clean but on the small side. Hot shower. The staff were lovely & friendly. Unfortunately we didn't have time to stay for our breakfast. The location was great for us too.

The breakfast, I felt ignored, served me the wrong tea, I had to walk to the kitchen to find my cutlery, and the restaurant staff spoke to me badly when I had to go to the reception to get wifi password, she says I would have told her, but that was not the issue, the issue was how she told me, plus it's not like she was attending to any of my requests.
The hotel staff right from the security, housekeeping and front desk were kind and helpful, I really loved that.

Showering with cold water in the morning. They could have mounted the wardrobe the other way round to give more room.
It's convenient with all amenities close by.

Don't be fooled by how it looks from the outside or the entrance, it's good inside as you go up the elevator. Kind staff, comfy room, great breakfast. Noise from the hallway can reach the room so use ear buds

Some minor things: Due to the location, the rooms can be noisy, especially those with a good view. Bathrooms are narrow and equipped with automatically quickly closing taps. Handwashing etc. becomes a challenge. Mirror mounted aside of the washbasin.
Good location in the very busy market area. Shops, restaurants etc. in walking distance. Room and bathroom had been refurbished and comfort added. Very friendly staff. Opulent breakfast. Good value for money.

This place is amazing. We have absolutely no complaints. Most reviews initially indicated that there would be heavy noise but that's not the case. Instead, we really appreciated the fact that it was in the centre of CBD. Everything was close and easily accessible. The staff were very friendly and helpful, especially Purity, who assisted us in every way. Great place with reasonable value.

Hotel refuses allowing any non-registered guests to visit in your room.

The location is really central, which also comes with the sounds and many people on the streets. During the evening we could hear the matatu station and many shops with loud music close by. That was the only con of this place
