Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesThere was a very loud bar across the street keeping us from sleeping. It was unusually hot in Nairobi and the hotel doesn’t have A/C or a fan in the room.
It was not expensive and close to our bus station leaving early the next morning. And they had some breakfast ready for us at 5:00 am per our request

United StatesThere is not a safe in the room for items such as your passport. Good luck securing your valuables. As for the location, this is River Road, Nairobi. Don't expect a welcoming environment outside the hotel. Don't walk around the hotel with any valuables or even your cell phone readily accessible. Secure your possessions.
The staff is exceptionally friendly. The place is secure once you are on the inside.

EstoniaWe had a room with balcony booked. The room had one window and that was to the hall. That was a bit disappointing surprise. The hotel could need renovation in all.

EstoniaThe check in process was over an hour. The booking.com is not well integrated in this country's hotel network. The room was awful and hot. The sound isolation of the hotel was very bad. You could hear everything what was happening on different floors.
Bed was okayand the pillow was hard and stiff too.

UkraineThe windows open onto a corridor in which the light is on all night, so the room is very light to sleep (there are curtains, but they don’t help). Terrible soundproofing, when someone in the corridor speaks, you can hear every word, and there is a club opposite where loud music plays at night, it is impossible to fall asleep.
It was clean, friendly staff, comfortable bed. The hotel provides shower gel, soap, body cream, as well as a towel and slippers.

United StatesOn Sunday morning a large flat-screen TV located in the breakfast room was blasting an extremely loud religious program, competing with all the obnoxious loud music from the street outside. The cacophony of sound from both inside the hotel and outside iinvaded my bedroom even long before I went downstairs for breakfast, While I don't object to people practicing their Christian religion, I do not believe a hotel guest should be force-fed either religion or music, especially not so early on a Sunday morning. But maybe this is a cultural thing, so I guess visitors should be tolerant.
This hotel accommodated me when another nearby hotel (where I had a confirmed reservation) turned out to be full. Delfirm was a breath of fresh air -- clean, spacious, centrally located, good WiFi, and a restaurant -- a haven in a part of downtown which tends to be extremely congested and chaotic. The staff was personable and friendly. The Operations Manager, Sammy, was especially helpful to me, opening up the hotel rooftop to me when I learned to my dismay that the city of Nairobi now does not permit smoking anywhere on the streets except in 'smoking zones', which, not being designated, are anybody's guess where they are located. The one such zone that was pointed out to be me by locals was a small patch of dirt strewn by construction rubble and without any seating, clearly meant only for those who want a quick puff on a cigarette. (I have never smoked cigerettes, but do enjoy a cigar on extended walks, or smoking a pipe while seated in a quiet spot away from other people, both of which proved impossible in downtown Nairobi.)
