Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesSometimes the TV channels would glitch.
Great view of the city, very friendly and helpful staff. Mercy at the reception was very kind. The security guards were also very nice. The room was comfortable, especially the bed. It's within walking distance to the Boardwalk Mall, which has a currency exchange office on the 2nd floor and a Naivas.

United KingdomMy wife and I stayed at the Golden Tulip for seven nights to celebrate a special birthday, and our experience was truly delightful. From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. We were pleasantly surprised with a complimentary room upgrade, which was a thoughtful and much-appreciated gesture. The food at the restaurant was delicious and offered great value for money. A special thanks to Front Desk Manager Ashish Kamal, who was consistently helpful with excellent recommendations for restaurants and activities around Nairobi. We’re also very grateful to Mercy for arranging a birthday cake for my wife, which made her day even more memorable. We enjoyed our stay so much that we extended our visit by an additional two nights. Ashish kindly arranged another upgrade to an executive suite—an amazing way to conclude our trip.

BrazilUnfortunately Nairobi is not a safe city and we cannot walk around hotel to go to Nairobi Museum, which is very close... the cost of transfers and tours is too expensive and it is not included the entrance of places we go. They tell something about this but not precisely, in some cases price of entrances can duplicate value of tour (if you want to go just to Elephant Orphanage for example, it demands pay the entrance 20US per person PLUS the entrance of Nairobi National Park - extra 50 US per person. Total = 70 US extra per person)
One of the most large rooms we ever stayed, very confortable, with a impressive window that give us a nice view of city. Many different places inside the room with chairs, couchs, 2 televisions... they have a restaurant in the top of hotel and a company that help guests with transfers and tours around Nairobi. We enjoyed breakfast too, with lot of good options

EstoniaAir-conditioning was too aggressive regardless of temperature, so we kept it off at most times. Also the bathroom shower floor became very slippery with water.
Absolutely wonderful staff and quiet rooms! And travel desk was very helpful. And James and Gideon were great drivers on those chaotic streets! Loved it.

SpainThe facilities are becoming a bit old and overused. The shower room could use some refurbishment, and the door lock in the room needs to be fixed.

United KingdomI hated being charged extra for someone to walk into my room. Seems like the hotel is playing a 'Ryanair' on guests with extra charges here and there. Also you need to wait on your checkout for the mini bar in your room to be checked, I wondered why?? 🤔 Seemed rather unprofessional to me, especially for the price they charge.
The hotel is located in a nice area, it is clean and staff are friendly enough. Wifi worked really well, restaurant was amazing! The room was very spacious with air con (a bit too cold at start).
