Staff was so helpful and nice. Hotel helped us to book reliable taxi (Joseph) with fair price and a good tour operator (Steve) for game drives. Definitely worth it.

We loved the open plan dining and kitchen and the very helpful Jane, the property manager. The place was clean and welcoming, even though remote. I would definitely stay here again.

The only issue was the lack of sufficient cooling in the living room. The heat in Voi is extremely hot and humid and unfortunately the fan didn’t help cool the room. It meant I could not relax as much as I’d like to. Thankfully, the bedrooms had air conditioning, which helped.

The house was very spacious and luxurious. It was spotless and had all the modern facilities that make a holiday that extra bit special. We were looked after by Gideon who went out of his way to make us feel welcome.

Access road wasn't too good, especially when it rains

Modern apartment, nicely done with all amenities. Comfy beds, with a/c, Fully functional kitchen, internet wifi, flats screen TV, lovely sitting area. I loved the high roof concept, really great. Airy feel. And my kids enjoyed playing ball and badminton on the outer yard. Good space.

We had an excellent three-day, two-night stay at Illala. Despite checking in late, Jane patiently waited for us, and her communication was excellent throughout our stay. Additionally, they recommended an excellent local tour company, Msherembe Safari and Travels, for a half-day trip costing only 13,000 KSH. We also had Mtalaki, a local taxi driver, who was kind enough to pick us up, drop us off, and wait while we bought groceries. I would definitely stay at Illala again on my next trip to Tsavo East National Park, which is just a 4-minute drive from Illala to the main gate.

No shops or restaurants around,however Voi town ain’t far from the home and the host Jane helps out with a delievery person when you run out of groceries.

The place is in a serene area which I loved and It was no hassle accessing Tsavo East National Park Voi Gate.

The home was so clean and tidy. Well stocked up with everything we needed plus extra touches like tea and coffee. There are even puzzles and games for kids- very child and family friendly. Will glady visit again when we're in the area.

Warm welcome, Modern, comfort, board games, just outside the busy city, a lot of nature around to walk your dog (if they allow). They are working on getting good internet as well (Starlink).

Ilala House is an amazing place to be. Located next to Voi wildlife hotel and Tsavo East gate, it is ideal for a family long stay within Voi town. The environment is serene and the staff are very friendly. You will definitely enjoy the stay

It was a bit far from the main road, a bit interior for our one night stay but everything else was perfect.

I was travelling with my family of four and we loved the house. Especially that the kitchen and the house were extra clean. The air conditioning worked in all rooms and the staff were really helpful especially in our check in and helping is find food to eat. I really liked how thoughtful everything in the house was placed. From the decor, to the paintings, to the kitchen utensils everything seemed well thought out and practical. I give this place 10/10 highly recommend.

It was a little tricky to find in the dark, and wasn't as easily accessible as we had hoped.

Well equipped, comfortable, spacious and great for the purposes of our stopover. Staff were lovely and helpful and communication before and after our stay was excellent.

Lovely place! The staff were amazing and very engaged. They went out of their way to make the stay memorable, and that they totally nailed! The house was away from all the town headache yet close enough to drop into town whenever one wanted. Very clean and well kept house with all amenities and games a you chill out with cold drinks. I highly recommend this property! We definitely will be back!
