Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaIt is a very small apartment and the coffee table is so big that it makes it uncomfortable as it restricts movement and ease of access. The table had to be moved depending on whether you wanted to sit on the sofa or open and close the door
Staff were helpful friendly and attentive

KenyaThe location and the host. I got here late in the evening and my check in was smooth. The place is accessible and all amenities are within close range. The host is welcoming, gracious and warm. She is a call away for any inquiries or needs. I felt welcomed and I would recommend this place for anyone travelling to Mombasa. And I enjoyed my stay here.

RussiaThese apartments are a small extension built right next to the gate—right at the entrance. The first night, or maybe the first two nights, were not very comfortable because throughout the night, people kept knocking on the gate. Even though there is a doorbell, it’s not audible, and it’s unclear whether it even works. It might be a good idea to put up a sign asking people not to knock on the gate or shout, but instead to ring the bell or, as a last resort, call by phone. This would make things more peaceful for guests staying in these apartments, which are located right by the gate. All night long, people were banging on the gate. Cars were honking for an entire hour because someone couldn’t get inside. That was quite unpleasant. I think you should put up a sign: No honking, no knocking—please ring the bell or call.
The apartment is very comfortable and compact, but it has absolutely everything you need for a comfortable stay, especially if you're traveling alone like I am. It is fully equipped with all the essentials, even the smallest things necessary for daily life. The kitchen has everything you need for cooking on a daily basis. There is a large inner courtyard, which also serves as a parking area. Everything is behind a fence, making it safe. There is always someone on-site to open the gate for you—just ring the bell. The place is quiet and pleasant. Sometimes, little monkeys drop by, and you can feed them fruit. There are delicious and affordable roadside cafés nearby. I had great meals there for several days—fish, beans, chapati—all for around 300 shillings. Just perfect. The beach is about a kilometer, maybe a kilometer and a half, away. It's a decent beach, though there’s some construction going on. I personally prefer wild, untouched beaches. To reach the nearest store, you need to walk about 500 meters to the main road and take a matatu to Mtwapa. There, you'll find Naivas and Quickmart, where you can buy groceries and cook at home. Everything is great! Thanks to the host—she is very caring and attentive. Overall, I highly recommend this place.
