I had a wonderful stay at The Kasa Malindi. The villas offer great privacy, and the staff were exceptionally welcoming. I particularly appreciated the service from Beryl, Mildred, and Eli. Eli, in particular, made fantastic cocktails and ensured we had a great time.

Kennedy at the Bar is a class act and the front man to the resort. He and the staff go out of their way to make your trip a memorable one. We look forward to spending future anniversaries back at our 2nd home. Couples massage was a very nice touch

It makes no sense to pay for breakfast coffee. the beach next to the hotel has many rocks and is not good for swimming

The beds were a bit firm for my taste, which led to stiffness in the morning. The internet is slow but workable.

The staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcomed and cared for throughout my stay. The property is so lovely that I didn’t feel the desire to go explore the surrounding area, I just relaxed and recharged. Would recommend the massages as well!

l would have loved if they had one large pool for a good workout swim in the evenings.

Alacarte menu, the staff were so friendly, the villas are beautiful, small intimate resort and the most welcoming and amazing GM Mr. Stefano.

No fans (we do not like to use the A/C). No TV, no stereo. No safe. Water pressure was many times close to zero, one of the 2 sinks did not have water at all - that is unacceptable at this price point. Imagine you want to take a shower only to find there is no water. Room size is not on par with other hotels at this price level, there is no extra space, couch, etc. Wifi did not work for some time, but was fixed by staff. Door lock was broken, so the door could not be properly locked from inside. An improvement at the beach would be to have a shower, so you could rinse of the sand when coming back from the beach. Both the "private pool" and the main pool are too small to swim. The main pool has a kind of "channel" which probably is meant to swim through, but it is built too narrow for that. We had a few short power outages. Overall, there are way too many negative points for the price being asked.

We were the only guests for 2 nights in July 2025. The grounds are quite nice and well kept. The A/C was quite good and could quickly cool the room down. The private beach, not too big, was nice. The staff is very friendly and helpful. To have a "private" pool was cool. "Kasa" is Swahili for turtle and the hotel is full of things designed as turtles, e.g. lamps. There is a turtle watching spot, although we were not able to see any.

The Management was carless and they don’t care the guests pleasure.

The environment was good but there were only 6 people present during our stay

We stayed during August 2023 at Leopards Point Luxury Hotel which is at best 2 to 3 star passing off as 5 star. We stayed for 3 nights in Baobab Villa a deluxe room about 12 by 12 foot, bathroom and wardrobe about 10 by 8 foot, very average space costing $300 per night. The room only had one chair, very thin white curtains at the 3 windows which allowed light through to flood the room as soon as the sun rose at 6AM. The wifi was very poor inside the rooms, and the front door could not close without being locked because it had swollen. I had many bites from mosquitoes during our three nights despite the fact that they claimed that the room had been sprayed. The room also had a mini bar and crisps and biscuits all passed their sell by dates selling at the most expensive prices in Malindi. The breakfast was very average – you selected what you wanted from a menu not a buffet. The only cereal they had was unbranded cornflakes and we were told that we could only have Kenyan coffee and tea free and needed to pay for Americano and other beverages that were not Kenyan. We were shocked because we had paid $300 a night for our room and expected 5 star service. The only thing worth- while at this hotel were the staff who were totally committed and professional which is why we gave a two star. Other than this the hotel is definitely a thumbs down- We will never again visit.
