Some elements like offering coffee orders with breakfast would be nice (espresso/cappucino etc.) and hot water wasn't the best.

Overall this hotel is lovely, but more of a 4 star than 5 star in my opinion/experience. Staff were super friendly and the room was big/comfortable. Breakfast was good. Pool area is lovely.

I stayed at Visiwa for 7 days and it was an unforgettable experience. The hotel is small, intimate, and has a warm, family-like atmosphere that makes you feel comfortable right away. It’s the perfect place to relax: peaceful, cozy, and never overwhelming. The food quality is outstanding, with fresh and varied dishes every day. A special thanks to the amazing director Diego and all the staff, who were always kind, attentive, and welcoming. After just a short time, I truly felt at home here. Highly recommended!

The bathroom was clean, spacious and had bidet in it! The view from the property on Love Island is very nice and with low tide you can walk there.

The management and the staff were incredibly helpful and made us feel at home. Diego the manager and Diego the chef were both super nice, assisted us in the best way possible. Baraka at the reception is super kind and professional. The restaurant is also very good, the Italian food was authentic and tasty.

Some of the sunbeds were in disrepair but there were so many it didn't impact our experience. The ketchup at the restaurant exploded upon opening, I think from sitting out in the sun too long. The bed was quite firm but also some sagging in the mattress.

Nice a la carte breakfast, well appointed rooms and bathroom has all the amenities like shampoo, conditioner, body wash, moisturizer. Design of rooms very nice and coastal feeling. Nice pool, well kept grounds with lots of greenery, lots of sunbeds. Great restaurant with Italian menu. Wonderful staff.

Breakfast is really great but no variety. After the second breakfast it felt too repetitive.

Really lovely place. Went in for 2 days and extended by a day. It's a small but cosy environment. The food is lovely, the ocean view is beautiful. The staff are attentive. I would definitely return.

The swimming pool tiles were slippery. Please also check the wooded stairs. I guess they get slippery with some shoe types.

The only thing I can think to say is that the beach boys could be employed to rake the seaweed from the beach in front of the property … although an annoying task during low season when the sea washes up so much, it’s a good way promote the local economy and ensure the beach boys have a productive and continued source of income, and therefore really supporting the local community …. whilst making the view from the property even more beautiful!

The location, rooms, pool and restaurant were absolutely perfect … it was very hard to leave the property to explore other places, as everything at Visiwa was just so good!

Arriving after a week of safari in various Kenyan parks, this was the perfect place to relax. The food was good, the location perfect, right on the water, the room overlooking the sea was relaxing and cleaned twice a day. Thank you to the entire team, Gisella first and foremost. Why coffee is not included in the breakfast of a five star hotel? Some African staffmember doesn't know some basics about the menu and Italian kitchen...

The view is magnificient! The beach is few steps. The food is wonderful. The host are really kind and they maintain nice order, cleanness, professionality which are really valueable in Africa. Everything works well here. The AC is not just a decoration like in some other Kenyan places, but it works well.

Music is piped to all. areas continuously and given the peaceful and relaxed setting this gets annoying after a while. We did ask for it to be turned down and it was, but i does travel. Perhaps the hotel could consider only having it on in the evening. If you are not Itialian do be aware that excursions arranged by the the hotel are for Italians. If you want a group that speaks English book it through one of the British dominated hotels in the resort.

A lovely location overlooking the beach and coral islands. A realatively small hotel, with approximately 30 rooms, ours was comfy, but not luxurious, and had a sea view which was nice, but given the lovely grounds with plenty of options to relax and enjoy the view not essential. A nice pool to cool off in when you got to hot. Food was excellent Italian style cuisine coupled with great cocktails and a long wine list (we didn't try the wines). Prices at the higher end by Kenyan standards, but cheaper than equivalent UK food.
