Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

KenyaThis is in the HH Tower on the 13th floor. It is hard to see from the road. On the opposite side of Naivas Market. Easy to miss if your driver is not familiar with the location. Traffic is a nightmare all day. Great for cityscapes.
The views are unmatched! 15th Floor is amazing and the windows give a clear view of the city. If you are not used to the city noise, this place is not for you. In the heart of all the action of CBD. Bank, pharmacy, market, bus station all nearby.

The location is perfect just at the Nairobi City Business District. In addition the hotel is located from the 13th floor and there are several shops that sells goods and services from 12th floor to the ground. The hotel is safe because although the elevator is shared the access to the hotel floors is only granted if a guest key is used.

United KingdomThe lift - Leave 10 minutes before you need to be downstairs, as it takes 5 minutes to call the lift and then another 5 minutes to go down 13 floors, as it stops at every floor to pick people up. Lift is very full by the end of it's journey!
A safe and welcoming place to stay in the centre of Nairobi. The taxi and cheerful driver from the airport was there on time to collect me. The restaurant and staff are great. The room was big too!

QatarThe location was not great. There was no clear sign board or means to identify the hotel as the hotel was in the 13th floor of a complex. The road leading to the hotel had heavy traffic. Also, the location pinned in Google Maps was not correct. Hotel Management informed that they will correct it.
The room was very good and well maintained. The staff were very polite and helpful. The hotel has a restaurant which was an advantage. Also the food prices were reasonable.

United StatesStreet noise. Can't be helped given location and weekend eves, but the double-paned glass really cuts it down. Carpet could be cleaner, and the windows; I would have liked to take pictures but the glass was too dirty. The restaurant could do better with inventory; many ingredients were out of stock, but it was a long weekend, with a Monday public holiday (Kenya's independence day).
In the heart of the CBD (junction of Moi and Kenyatta aves) this is a great location to get around Nairobi from. The hotel is on the 14th floor (elevator, hallway, and room all require a room key to access) and there are guards at both entrances from the street.... so very secure and wheelchair friendly). There is an excellent restaurant of the same name of 13th floor with both African and US/European cuisine for breakfast, lunch and dinner). There are many floors of small shops in the building (I got my hair cut and bought a camera tripod and linens all without leaving the premises). The staff were kind and courteous and responsive to our needs. We met the manager who truly wanted to know about our experience with both hotel and restaurant and even helped hands-on with ensuring a smooth exit down to the ground floor after check-out. The restaurant manager remembered us both and greeted us like old friends. This was our second stay. Great views. Reasonable rates (U.S. $60/night for 4 nights on Expedia or Booking.com; by comparison, the fleabag Econolodge I stayed at the week before in small-town Wooster, Ohio was US$80 weeknights, US$120 weekends.)

LuxembourgThe main downside of this hotel is the noise you can hear from traffic and neighbouring bars, it's fairly bad on Friday night but not as annoying on Saturday or Sundays (windows are single grazing). If you are a light sleeper bring earplus, otherwise you should still be okay.
This hotel is very nice. Rooms are quite modern and beds are very confortable. Rooms and bathrooms are quite big. Staff is very friendly and helpful, always ready to answer any question you may have. Location is theoretically very central but slightly relative as Nairobi doesn't have a city center area like you may be used to in European cities for instance. Still it's not too far from the airport (about 25 min) or from Nairobi National Park (about 20 min). Cafe on the reception floor is nice enough. Good vatiety of breakfast and good fresh juice. Dinner food is nice too but portion are fairly small. Overall I would recommend as it's good value for the price.

FranceThe cleaning needs to improve: while the bed seemed clean, we found a few hairs, the restroom was not super clean and items (comb) from a previous guest were not removed. The hotel does not have a private entrance (part of a broader mall), which made security less ideal even if private guards were at the entrance. There is no entrance for the cars, which can be an inconvenience for those traveling for safaris or other tours. Limited ventilation with one small window. Old carpets to be washed or changed. The placement didn’t feel super safe.
Very good value for the price. Good view of the city. Very nice cafe/restaurant: simple but good and with warm service. Late check-out for reasonable free. The linens were good. Safety deposit.
