Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesNothing was dissatisfied, however, it should be communicated that at such a high class resort, breakfast is included, but to a certain extent. If you are a guest there you recieve 5000 Shilling for each breakfast meal, should you go over that it is an out of pocket cost. Breakfast does take a moment to come to your table, so try and plan your day maybe two hours for breakfast in total. I also remember carrying a few of my bags upon being shown my room. I would recommend guest not having to touch their bags upon checkin. The safety of the counhtry is a bit concering, since there are metal detectors even if the places are upper class.
Where do I even begin, this location is one I will be revisiting. The staff was amazing. I wish I could remenbr everyones names, but Ms. rosemary, head sequrity, the gym director, my housekeeping woman. The manager of the resort introduced himself to me directly and gave me his business card, insisted that I needed to know who he was as their guest and that if I needed anything to juse let him know. Very hospitible. I appreciate the tour of the treehouses and whhat I can look fwd to when I return next year. I am so grateful for this experience. I never been to a hermes gym and glad i got to experience it. The staff allowed me to content create and allowed my photographer on the premises all while keeping other guests and their safety and privacy in mind. They made sure I was safe s/o again to the head of security. There are two check points and a private gate at the entrance. You ar eonly allowed to enter if you have a reservation for dinner or are a guest staying with overnigh stays. If anyone who is not on the reservation as a guest stays it is additonal costs. I was able to capture moments of a lifetime, you can see monkeys running on the tops of the treehouses. They have jazz music and a live saxiphone regularly. The food and drinks are amazing!

United KingdomEverything, I would definitely come back to this hotel. I loved that it’s not a corporate tower block in the city centre. It’s on a gentle green hill, in the ‘diplomatic’ district near all the embassies. The hotel spaces are terraced and decorated with many plants and flowers.

ChinaI had one of the worst hotel experiences here. A large group of guests threw a loud party that lasted until 5 AM, blasting music and shouting throughout the night. The noise was absolutely unbearable — I couldn’t sleep at all. I called the front desk three times to report the issue, but nothing was done. No staff intervened. No one cared. This level of negligence is simply unacceptable, especially for a hotel of this price range and reputation. I’m deeply disappointed and frustrated. If you’re looking for a peaceful night’s sleep, stay away.

KenyaThere were a few design elements throughout the property that I don't think align with the elevated experience that the property is aiming for. For example, signs for social media photo opps and certain decorations. The food was overpriced and the breakfast was quite lackluster.
The tented rooms had incredible views and were an amazing retreat from Nairobi. Very comfortable and romantic. Drinks and ambience at dinner were nice and the pool and cigar lounge were impressive.

IrelandThe reception service needs improvement. We received incorrect information multiple times regarding tours and taxi services. Prices were quoted in USD and were significantly higher than average (up to 10x compared to local rates). For example, we were told the Giraffe Center tour would be $150, only to discover this was just for transport — we later went on our own for about €10. Billing was vague (e.g., “dinner” with no itemization), and there was an issue where I was told I had an outstanding balance after settling my extras the night before checkout, which felt unprofessional given we spent over half a million KES. Check-out time was also misleading; the app stated midnight, but we were told it was actually 11am. Although they offered a room to get ready for a wedding, they later said it would be charged at half price, and we ultimately got ready in the spa restroom.
The hotel itself is beautiful, clean, and peaceful. Most of the staff were genuinely kind, attentive, and professional — especially Kiegan and the chef, who truly stood out. The food was excellent, and the general ambiance was relaxing and welcoming.
