A nice hotel. The room is good, although it needs redecorating. It comes with a fan, a TV and AC. Staff are friendly and helpfuul.

The central location of the hotel cannot be overstated; it was perfect for leisurely explorations and soaking in the vibrant life of Mombasa. Coupled with the amiable and helpful nature of the staff, my stay was made both convenient and enjoyable. The personal touch in their service created a homely atmosphere that is hard to find elsewhere.

Some details like a broken tile in the bathroom and when I arrived to the room there was not toilet paper, but as soon as I said it they fixed it.

We were locked in the hotel compound on New Years Eve at 11:30pm. No one was available to let us out. It was horrible to feel like a prisoner. The walls were topped with barbed wire and we could not even climb out to celebrate New Years. Never would I have expected to be unable to freely leave the hotel compound.

Friendly female staff. Mattress was swapped when we discovered ours was stinky.

Food was poor. Standards too low for a city hotel. It is a very basic bed for the night. All aspects are old, and falling apart .

Generally the age, up keep and standard was low. I was disturbed in the night, by the call to prayer. The air conditioner was old. The fan was noisy. The breakfast was very poor. Cheap cutlery, "margarine" offered when "butter" was asked for. Powdered coffee. Kenya deserves better. Kenya is improving, this managemet is stuck in the past

Nothing really but as minor comments, there was no mosquito net and whist the Wi-Fi was usually very good, it could sometimes be slow in the evenings.

The staff make this hotel excellent. They are superb and so friendly. Special mention to Liz who was so helpful but the whole team were as well - I just didn’t get all of their names. All of the guys working there were amazing. The guys working in the attached restaurant were also very friendly. The room is a good size and the hotel is well located. It is possible to walk to the old town but take a tuk tuk which are cheap as the Mombasa heat is crazy. Bathroom good as well and the hotel has air con - super important in Mombasa.

I did not stay. Before I checked in, I looked at the room and found it below my expectations. So I opted not to stay there.
