The room was dark and the bed wasn't too comfortable either. And noone told us that we needed to switch on the water heater, so we showered cold

We had different rooms on different days of our stay, the second rooms bed was not at comfy - so I recommend you ask for a room on the third floor.

The WiFi was good and the shower had good pressure. The staff, especially security were nice and helpful. The location is close to good restaurants and easy to walk to Fort Jesus

Expensive to dine there, bathrooms were underwhelming, water wouldn't get warm, and bed was rock hard.

Great food, very kind staff, beautiful building, clean facilities, AC in room, great location! Security was super great which as a female solo traveller was the main thing for me.

Room 101 is dark and without balcony.

AC was very noisy and the regular fan wasn't working (since we were only there for the night and discovered about it very late we didn't get to ask ro fix it) but therefore we slept without AC or fan and woke up because of the heat to turn AC on. The o ky other issue in my opinion is the window being single glazing meaning your can hear traffic. It would also be cool of the pool opened a bit longer so that people who get there late from the Nairobi train can still enjoy it.

The historicam building is beautiful and gives this hotel a unique charm. The rooms are quite big and confortable, there is even AC (even tough it's a bit noisy). Food at the restaurant is very good and so are the cocktails. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Pool area looks quite cool and relaxing but we didn't get to use it since the pool closes at 6pm.

The rooms are outdated and need definitely a renewal. Our air conditioning was not working, and it was warm in the room. We could not sleep. The light of the corridors to the rooms is always on, and there is no way to block it, so it never gets dark in the room. Moreover, it is very noisy in the hotel, with constant doors slapping (they were difficult to open and close) and furniture movement

Friendly staff and very nice welcome. The pool in the terrace is renewed and definitely a highlight. The beds are conformable. The hotel has a beautiful style when you see it from outside.

I stayed for 6 days and there were a couple of times that the a/c had a problem. The room I had has a balcony towards the street so leaving the window/door open would cool down the room but it would be very noisy. There was a problem with hot water the first day I checked in. But both times the problem was solved within a couple of hours.

The location of the hotel is really central. Colonial style architecture and well preserved. The room is spacious. Breakfast was very good and generous. The staff is really helpful and always ready to solve a problem.

The hotel is situated on Moi Avenue (which cannot be helped). If you are a light sleeper, request a room towards the back of the hotel.

The staff were incredibly attentive and friendly. The hotel is well situated and only 15 minutes from the airport. The beauty of the design and history behind the hotel is very interesting. The rooms are very comfortable and with air conditioning which helps in the very hot climate.
