The room was super cool and cozy. I was particularly drawn by the hospitality I received from the host. She was kind and concerned. It's a beautiful place to visit. I'll visit again.

The AC was very loud; it would stop and start constantly, beeping every time, which made it very hard to sleep. As mentioned by other guests, there were a lot of cockroaches and two large dead centipedes in the shower when we arrived. We booked last minute and it was Eid, so I guess no one had had a chance to clean before we turned up. The room was tidied the next day and the hostess was apologetic. We ended up leaving after 3 nights instead of 4, but had to pay 31% of the fourth night because of Booking's fees; not the property's fault, but something to be aware of. If you're not sure of your plans, might be better to start with less nights booked and keep adding after.

The property was in a cute little gated community that felt safe and was nice and quiet.

We enjoyed our stay at Serene homes. The place is homely and Frida is a wonderful host and she has kept the place in good condition. During our stay, the weather was extremely hot but the AC in the room was perfect. I highly recommend the place.

It was a little far from the shopping area and restaurants. A 20 minute walk. There was always a boda boda out front though 100 ksh to the mall. Everything else was great

I found a millipede outside the closet and next day there was another one in the bathroom. I'd recommend pest control because the surrounding trees will definitely attract bugs. Some parts have paint peeling off which doesn't look very nice.

It's in a good and quiet area. Wi-fi is provided. Drinking water is provided too. The bathroom is spacious and clean towels provided.

It is a bit far from everything (both the city centre and the beaches). Also, room is good for 1 person but for 2 would be very cramped. Just for sleeping and mb light breakfast as there's not much atmosphere or things to do close by.

Unfortunately, we faced two unexpected issues : - The day we came, there was a power shutdown in the neighborhood. As there is no generator at the hotel, we had no electricity, no Wi-Fi and no A/C almost all day. Power only came back late in the evening (20:30). In theory, we wouldn't mind, but in this case the temperature was so hot in the room that we simply couldn't stay inside. As we waited outside in the night, Fridah kindly gave us a flashlight, which helped us to eat our dinner in the dark. - when the power finally came back, the A/C turned out to be disfunctional. Throughout the night, it alternated between sending cold and hot air. It was also more noisy than A/C normally are, which was troublesome because the machine is located right above the top of the bed. Sadly we almost didn't get to sleep at all.

Fridah is a kind host. She was available and gave good advice. The room was clean. The bed is equipped with a good mosquito net.
