We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

United KingdomIt was unclear (in fact, I don't think it was at all stated) when booking online that the triple room we had booked shared a living space with two other rooms, but had a private bathroom. We, fortunately, were upgraded on arrival to a cottage of our own. However, the hotel was completely unaware of our booking when we arrived. Our new room didn't have a lock. The food was ok (the chicken curry was particularly good), but very overpriced for its quality. The exterior of our cottage had rubble and an old blanket lying around, which was somewhat unsightly.
Shimoni Reef Lodge is in the perfect location for water activities, being right on Shimoni's coast. We had hot water, a clean and spacious room, comfortable beds, and housekeeping thoroughly cleaned the room every day. Samson in particular was very attentive, and we appreciated him very much!

South AfricaIt would have been nice to have a kettle with tea and coffee in the room. We had to request extra water as they only provide 500ml per person per day. The place lacked a manager/owner presence. It would have been nice to get more information about the area and we had a couple of requests/questions which the staff couldn’t answer.
We stayed here for our honeymoon. The location is absolutely amazing - best sunset from the restaurant deck. The pool was also a highlight. Comfortable rooms. The food was good, although it would have been nice to have some fresh fish (it was all frozen), even if it meant a smaller menu to choose from. They also organised all of our diving with Pilli-Pipa who were incredibly professional. Highly recommend any snorkelling/diving trip with them!
