Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Breakfast was good except for the fact that they ran out of coffee on 10/12 and we were the first ones for breakfast. We need coffee and they came with instant coffee (I could tell by the streaks on the side of the latte cup. Also the drainage in the sick and showers. The spacious bathrooms might have been grand in their early days but are due for an upgrade. Staff was great the rooms are spacious, the well polished wood was beautiful including the beautiful ceilings.

SpainThe BF variety could be improved, but the staff at the breakfast and all hotel was kind.
we like the deco at the hotel and the building. The Gym, Swimming pool and all the staff with the exception of one person I guess she was not having a good day. The location could be better but it suited our needs.

KenyaRequires good cleaning and checks from management. Dirty kitchenware in the rooms, dining area needs regular wiping of surfaces, there is a speaker that is stuck on my mind full of dust, curtains need regular washing, outdoor seating spaces need removal of cobwebs etc.
The place is so beautiful it can not be put into words. The rich, woody feel inside is glorious. Friendly staff.

Grand location in beautiful Red Hill/Tigoni side.. we got upgraded by the professional Manager, and had the amazing penthouse suite. The food is good, the facilities are nice and the overall property very very well put together. It's a dive back in the past, classic and classy!

United KingdomNothing to suggest. Just remember that this hotel is situated some way out of Nairobi, an hour plus from the airport.
Someway out of time, this hotel is a very grand building panelled in dark wood. Our bedroom was enormous with a huge balcony. Dinner and breakfast we good and the grounds extensive for a wander. Good pool

South Africathe food was quite underwhelming and, unfortunately, it did take away from the otherwise excellent experience. I believe there is significant room for improvement when it comes to the quality and variety of the food, which would greatly enhance guests’ overall satisfaction. With such an impressive atmosphere and staff, elevating the dining experience would truly make the stay exceptional.
The suite offers a serene and tranquil atmosphere, set amidst beautiful surroundings that make for a truly relaxing stay. The room itself was tastefully appointed, and I was pleasantly surprised to find it thoughtfully decorated with a warm happy birthday message — a gesture I deeply appreciated. The staff’s hospitality was exceptional throughout; not only were they welcoming and attentive, but they also went out of their way to resolve a technical issue with the TV, spending time to ensure it was fixed properly. In addition, when I mentioned I had forgotten my Colgate at the reception they kindly offered me a dental knit, which was a lovely personal touch.

South AfricaThe hotel seems fairly new but the staff are eager and hard working. There was nothing I can say I did not like about it. When we had no hot water in our room they immediately remedied the situation without any fuss at all.
I loved the Decor, and also feeling that it was a bit of a hide away from the main business centre which made relaxing after a day of business very pleasant and easy. The restaurant was lovely, breakfast exceptional, and staff were willing to bring coffee early in the mornings to enable our early leaving for business.

KenyaThe room was not what we expected, it was run down, they need serious renovations, the wood looked like it had mould, there was water leaking from the wall, the bathroom water was not draining well! The sofas right outside our room was very dirty. Then the noise at wee hours of people setting down or setting up, so barely slept, I was happy that we were there for just one night!
The grounds are beautiful and the buildings.are very beautiful. The food was also fresh and tasty

United StatesUpon arrival, there was an electrical problem with the outlet and the hot water kettle and coffee maker were not working. We stayed on a Thursday night, and all afternoon and all night long there were men working right outside our room setting up a huge tent for a wedding on the weekend. It was non stop shouting, truck engines, and equipment banging around. It was like trying to sleep in a construction site. The next day we could see there was more work to be done, so we requested to move to the other side of the hotel. Staff were very helpful and we were able to switch rooms free of charge. Unfortunately in the new room the electrical were also faulty, and the refrigerator, hot pot and coffee maker were not working. There was also no hot water in the shower, only in the bathtub. Although we were away from the tent construction, we were by the parking lot and huge lories were backing up into the parking lot all throughout the night delivering tables and chairs for the wedding. So, we didn't sleep much on the second night either. Lastly, there is a fitness room down by the pool, but it is severely lacking in equipment. No treadmill, no squat rack, no barbell at all for bench or deadlift. Just a couple of benches and a limited number of dumbbells.
Staff were very friendly. The food in the restaurant is excellent. The rooms are set up nicely with a lot of closet space and nice big bathroom.

FranceThe restaurant was the main disappointment. The service is very slow yet what is offered on the menu is very basic. The menus are falling apart (torn, dirty) and several options proposed on the menu were not available. Some cutlery and the table mats were dirty. For the dessert, I ordered the "warm apple pie served with vanilla ice cream" and what came was an apple pie with a strawberry ice cream on top of it, when I asked about it they said they don't have vanilla ice cream, but I was not informed before ordering. Besides, the strawberry ice cream was the most artificially-flavoured one I had ever tasted (not what you expect for a restaurant in such a chic hotel). The only good thing about the restaurant is that the prices of the meals are quite pocket friendly. The breakfast served in the morning is also extremely basic, you can expect to be served the most industrial cereals (corn flakes and rice crispies) and some flavourless pastries. The coffee and tea were served after we finished our meals, although I repeatedly asked for them to be served when we still had food in our plates. The knob of the bathroom door was completely broken so it could not close at all. The disposable slippers are like a sheet of paper and break instantly if you have slightly wide feet. For a suite, you'd expect better quality. The toiletries are also very basic for a suite at that price per night. It is a shame because this place is full of potential - maybe it was marvellous in the past but lack of maintenance and attention to details made it a disappointing experience for us.
The outside of the building and the garden look beautiful. The atmosphere is serene and it's a nice getaway from the busy Nairobi. The decoration of the rooms is good, our bedroom and bathroom were very spacious. The staff is friendly.
