Over the weekend, one of the other villa had some guests who played music a little too loud into the night, past 1. However, during the weekdays, as a lover of quiet environs, I enjoyed the absolute serenity.

I loved everything about Trio Villa. The staff (Samwel, Vincent, and Mercy). First, Samwel, the villa manager, already reached out to me as soon as I had confirmed my booking on Booking.com. He confirmed my stay, and later shared a document with the correct directions to the place (Maps sometimes loses you), list of eateries, and fun things to do in Watamu before my travel. This was extremely helpful for a traveler coming from far, and he regularly checked up on me (virtually) if everything was well or if I needed anything. Vincent and Mercy were awesome too; they inquired if I needed anything anytime I came outside my villa's gate or outside the premises, and, importantly, didn't disturb me (this is a big deal for me). The Villa: Beautiful, fancy, private, and secure. The place is even more beautiful than the photos (which are already pretty awesome). Three villas separated by walls and each with a private swimming pool (which I utilized to the maximum including at night thanks to great lighting), white spaces, and greenery. The villa itself (let's say maybe I should just save up and retire there :): Spacious, ample natural light, really clean, spacious kitchen with modern appliances, and the stairs to the bedroom are so white they make you feel like you are going to heaven (the bedroom). Two bathrooms (one upstairs and one downstairs- really clean and well-lit too). For TV lovers, a 43" digital TV already connected to the internet, plus you can connect an HDMI or USB if you already have your own content you want to watch on the big screen. Pleasant Surprise: Fresh water. All the faucets run forceful jets of fresh water (a pleasant surprise given that most of the facilities in the Kenyan Coast have salty water) throughout, except for one day (and it was a Watamu/ Kilifi issue not only the villa) and even then the faucets promptly run the salty water (good enough for cleaning, shower, etc.).

On the arrival date was hard for me to identify the location. Other than that everything was perfect.

The location was great. It’s private. It’s close to a lot of places the beach. The property manager was very fantastic. Good communication. I just loved this place. I’ll go back anytime.

I would have liked a bit of shade poolside: e.g. an umbrella, and an outdoor table and chair, but I managed as is. Saturday night neighbours were a bit too noisy for my taste.

I liked everything: the huge sitting room and kitchen, that there is a guest toilet on the ground floor, the ensuite and air-conditioned bedroom upstairs, nice private swimming pool. Clean and attentive service. Will certainly visit and stay again.

Downside was the car we got for hire kept getting issues and a very rude driver from the villa.

Our stay at Trio villas was an amazinggg one, smooth straight from the airport the driver was waiting on time. The villa was really private and cleaned everyday, staff were extremely friendly and helpful. (AC in the room-huge safe in the heat) the kitchen was well equipped with necessary appliances. Trio villas also helped with an itinerary for our stay which was extremely helpful with navigating the different places in Watamu.

The property is beautiful, private and secure. The house is just as depicted in the photo. The amenities were clean and the place is close to a lot of the popular spots. Lights kept going off but there is a back up generator so you don’t really get affected. The bed was also quite comfortable which a huge plus and the location is quiet and not densely populated. Loved my experience and would 100% recommend.

That we had to leave

Incredible, we loved every moment. Samuel, Ken and Sharon were all so welcoming and went above and beyond, we felt right at home. We worked remotely here for a week and it was the only place in watamu we were able to work, due to the great wifi and if there was a power cut Samuel had the generator on straight away. These villas are just breathtaking! If you go to watamu stay here! We loved every moment and will definitely be back.

Nothing to disslike... Everything perfect, it's KENYA!

Although unconventionally located, it didn't detract from this amazing stay at all. The staff very friendly, helpful, kind and ready to fulfill your last wish. The villa is amply equipped with everything you may need during your stay. Including reliable wi-fi connection, Netflix etc. It's a quiet location within easy reach of the beach as well as restaurants, shops, banks too. I definitely recommend this accommodation!
