Nothing, excellent place to stay.

The room is pretty clean, the kitchen is great to make meal. Not far from the nearest beach about 12 minutes walk. About 30 minutes walk to the Petrographic Museum.

A real green oasis with a lot of separate places to chill out or eat your meal in privacy. Everything was super clean and comfortable. From the smooth check in to the last "goodbye", the family was very nice and welcoming to us. We really enjoyed the time spent in Cholpon Ata and it was (also) thanks to this accommodation.

The beds were quite short so careful if you're tall, you might not fit.

The guest house is in a good position, close to the main street. The family was very welcoming even though they didn't speak English. The room was clean.

Helena Guest House has been the best experience you could ask for. From the moment you step in, you are greeted with the most beautiful flora ranging from the red of the roses to the red of the cherries on the trees. With easy access to faucets, restrooms, showers and a kitchen, the Helena Guest House host, Nadira, grants amazing service that exceeds any language barrier. With its place a mere 10 minute walk away from many local shops, restaurants and the beautiful beaches of Issyk-Kul, living here has been nothing short of amazing, providing a family-safe and nevertheless enthralling experience of Kyrgyzstan, from the day-long exploration of the mountains Kyrgyz Ala-Too with Farhad and his extensive knowledge in the routes, sights and traditions to the lake Issyk-Kul (which translates to Warm Lake, so dipping your toes is nothing short of incredible and relaxing) only a short walk away. I would've never had such a blast in Cholpon Ata as I did sleeping, eating and meeting other amazing people in the Helena Guest House. Thank you Farhad for the unforgettable journey through the mountains and the journey through the beautiful traditions and cultures in your Mitsubishi Delica, thank you Nadira for the 110% effort put into caring, helping and providing for us with our varying levels of confusion as guests, and thank you Helena Guest House for providing us the best taste of Kyrgyzstan anyone could ask for!

The toilet smelled bad, because of humidity and some broken pipes. The beds were extremely uncomfortable, and we woke up with sore lower backs. It’s like sleeping on the hard floor. No security, since you can lock the door but not the windows. Someone can always enter the appartement.

The location is excellent, just by the main road and a 15’ walk away from the sea. The staff is very kind. Ample parking both on the street and inside the garden.

We liked everything about this place. A small improvement in terms of comfort could be by adding yet another wifi device. But most of the times it was available.

Special thanks to the owners. They are always available and are treating the guests superb. They also take great care of the place, so everything is clean and looks beautiful. The common areas between the apartments offer great possibilities to hang around, eat food or just to enjoy the day. The room was comfortable and offered everything as expected. The price was definitely fair. We will absolutely book this place again!
