It was an absolutely lovely experience. The staff were soo welcoming and friendly. All my activities were booked by the Staff of the Yurk, hassle free. The Yurt itself was super clean and beds were soooo comfortable. Toilet and bathroom new and clean. I really had everything I needed. The surrounding village was lovely very scenic. I suggest you book a horseback ride around. I even put the first Nigerian Pin on their Map which was some nice icing on the cake. I really enjoyed my stay and Would certainly recommend

There was little to no communication between the staff and guests during our stay. We didn't feel any warmth towards us.

The private toilet for each yurt was clean and the water pressure for the shower was strong. The yurt was clean and there was sufficient bedding cover for the night. There was also heating in the yurt. The food was delicious and plentiful for breakfast.

Very lovely yurt camp close to the lake. We had the yurt with double bed which was very comfortable. Every yurt has its own outdoor private bathroom with shower as well! Water was very warm and shower was amazing. There is wifi. Food is delicious. We did a horse riding tour and eagle show demonstration with them and it was great.

Not on the lake as I wrongly expected But short walking distance The lake area was quite dirty and not looked after. Rubbish everywhere which was very upsetting.

It is my first and not the last stay in Sonun camp. I can’t explain why, but I feel like I’m home here. Cozy and comfortable place in one of the most beautiful places in the world. Don’t worry about facilities, meals or staff - everything is great!

It was very cold when we were there and the wind meant that it was very cold in the yurt - this is something to be aware of if you are travelling out of season.

Beautiful, cosy yurt in a stunning location. The staff were very helpful and attentive. They also organised a horse trek for us which was incredible - we did the four hour option and it included amazing and varied scenery. I would definitely recommend this.

- Would recommend paying in Som (rather than USD as booking.com says) because they will not accept all bills since not all Kyrgz banks accept certain types of USD bills (could not figure out which type). We experienced this at all accomodations in Kyrgzstan so best to just pay in Som!!! - Only one outlet in the yurt that we used for the heater. Maybe there were others we just couldn't find? Just a heads up but not an issue.

12/10 would definitely recommend Sonun! The location is incredible - views of mountains every way you look and the gorgeous lake. The yurt was cozy and warm - we visted in mid-april and the weather was cold, but we even turned the heater off in the night because the yurt was so warm! Abolutely delicious meals and able to accomodate vegetarians. Very communicative and the host spoke great English and was super friendly and communicative. Also really good wifi!!! Also would definitely recommend the eagle show, omg it was one of the highlights of our entire trip!!!

The toilet is quite far from yurt. The heater in the yurt nit enough hot. Or take a quick some time to feel the heat.

The location is very near to beach. One of best spot to have sunrise at isyy kul lake. The breakfast is tasty. There have 4 toilet n shower place. WiFi is good. The landscape with flower at the square between yurt is charming. The host also nice.

This was a truly unique and authentic experience, unlike anything we’ve done before. However, we’ve realised that we prefer the comfort of an en-suite room in a hotel. That’s just a personal preference and not a reflection on the quality of the facilities, which were excellent. Despite that, I’m really glad we chose to have this experience - it was memorable and absolutely worth it!

Our stay at the yurt camp, run by a warm and welcoming family, was a great experience. The location is peaceful and perfect for a relaxing getaway. The yurt itself was cozy, and despite the cold temperatures outside, we stayed comfortably warm. We were treated to freshly prepared, authentic Kyrgyz cuisine. The family also went out of their way to help us arrange transfers and organise local tours, making our trip even more seamless. Overall, we highly recommend staying at Sonun to anyone considering the yurt experience.

Good location that can see the mountain and near the lake. You can spend time 1-2 hours for walking around the lake (If you have nothing to do in day time). Good breakfast as well. Lovely place.

Absolutely everything. The staff is wonderful, helped us with the on-site washing machine. There's food (and beer!) available on site and the yurts were the largest, warmest and confiest we've encountered on our entire trip! If you're staying at Issyk-Kul, you've found your spot!
