Close to the beach and the Nest hostel, a relax place during the day and party during the night, particularly during the wkd with the Nestival. The great point is that even if it close to the Nestival, the noise is ok during the night when you want to sleep

- There was no WiFi the entire time I was there and no service either so I ended up spending most of the time outside of the hostel at restaurants nearby with WiFi (not the owners fault, seems like he is doing his best but just a warning) - Location isn’t amazing, I thought I would stay here for Nestival as it’s a 5 minute walk away but I think it would’ve been better to stay in Long Set or Koh Touch where there is more going on during the day and better signal (and then walk 20 minutes to nestival through the jungle or beach) - It is very outdoorsy, the toilets/showers/sinks are outside and it was raining when I was there so this was a bit unpleasant (brushing my teeth in the rain)

The area around the hostel is still a building site and there could be some improvement, however the entire area is under construction so all the other hostels are like this too. I think the communal seating area could be made bigger - especially during Nestival would be nice to have more of a social space :) Do not use the laundry onsite for white clothes - our clothes came back stained.

The rooms are some of the most comfortable we have had in over 2 months all over SEA. AMAZING AC, big comfortable beds, black out curtains, multiple charging points per bed. Dara and his family are so kind, generous and really lovely. There is a very nice vibe to this hostel and everyone we met were very friendly. We really enjoyed our time here. It is also 3 minute walk from Nestival and a 20 minute walk to Ko Long (the town with all the supermarkets and cheaper restaurants). If you stay the other side of the beach all the restaurants are much more expensive with no supermarkets.

Genuine family run hostel. The owner was really kind and friendly from the minute he welcomed us to the hostel. He helped us change our boa so we could make our early morning connecting bus. Perfect distance from nest without being too close to the music. The only thing is that the hostel is relatively newly built so the facilities are quite basic. Lots of mosquitoes in the showers and bathrooms but that’s unavoidable really with it being a remote island. Would still definitely highly recommend staying here!

I can't say anything but positive about my stay at Blue Zone. I originally booked 3 nights in a dorm, but due to a stupid accident I had to stay longer on the island and so I stayed longer at Blue Zone Hostel. Dara and his wife are incredibly friendly and helpful. I felt very comfortable there and because of their good care, I was able to stay positive about my recovery. They felt like family. The dorms are nice, the food is good and the location is also ideal, especially if you want to go to Nestival. It is very close, but still far enough from the music if you want more peace.

The property was located about 3 minutes from the beach and offered a very relaxing vibe. The owner and his family were the best part, they were very kind and helpful to everyone! The rooms were very comfortable and you could not hear any sound from the outside, even though there was a party at the beach so that was good! I would very much recommend this place!

This is a great hostel to stay at, run by such a friendly family who will do anything to make your stay the best. The location is good in the middle of 2 of the main beaches but away in a quiet area.

The location is great! Super close to Nest and the best beach in the whole area. The owner was super friendly and kind, he let us check in early and the room is really really clean, and great A/C. I would definitely stay here again! I heard from a friend that moved from the same hostel we moved from that the dorms here are also great, clean, and modern with comfortable beds and privacy with curtains! I wish we stayed here longer!

we stayed in dorm room first night was so comfy good sized beds and clean , then a private room after that. Since we we wanted our own space. The lovely owner and his family were beyond nice and friendly. I was sick and they made me tea and always wanted to make sure I was okay 👍 would recommend this hostel for sure ! ❤️ thank you blue zone hostel for a great stay xx

We were lucky to book here at blue zone. We originally booked for 4 days but extended for a few more days because we loved it so much. Dara is the best hostel owner i have ever met. Himself and his family who run this amazing hostel are so caring and personable it made the experience such a pleasure. They are always willing to help and accommodate you whatever way they can and you can have fantastic conversations with them and really get to them as people and they get to know you. We also exchanged cash and booked tours/buses with Dara. We were all really sad to leave which says so much about this hostel makes you feel. 100% book this hostel for your stay you will come a stranger and leave feeling like family ❤️

Internet was a bit slow in dorm but fine in community areas

This is a perfect location as a 10 minute walk to the left when you hit the beach leads you the the pier and 15 mins walk right leads you to the village. It's right behind the nest which has huge parties once in a while but this place is lovely and quite. The toilets and showers work good and people are respectable here. The owner speaks very good English and helps you with everything you need. He works very hard here and I really think this place is too good for how cheap it is. The communal areas are nice and pleasant and it's a great opportunity to meet other travellers and have a good chat. Internet isn't great but you can get what you need done just a bit slower. The beds are comfy and clean and the location is perfect. They provide you with a towel too and there's a fridge at reception where you can buy snacks and drinks. I'll definitely be coming back!!!

Special place, the owners and their family were the main reason for me, good hearted, giving people which I really appreciated. The hostel is 3 minutes by walk close to longset beach, next to some of the most popular bars on koh Rong so you’re staying at a hotel which is far enough away to sleep well and also based close to activities and nightlife. The dorms are clean and in good conditions. WiFi is working. Hammocks available to have a rest midday. I give it a 10/10 experience.

We had an exceptional stay at Blue Zone Hostel. Comfy beds, clean dorms, showers and toilets. Dara and his family are some of the best hosts we’ve encountered. So friendly and welcoming and went above and beyond for us whenever we needed. The communal area is a great place to connect with and meet other people. A real social atmosphere. The hostel is only a three minute walk from the beach, and nearby restaurants and bars. It is located next to Nest and Nest Jungle, which is convenient for parties, but still secluded enough for a good nights sleep without disruption. We really wish we could have stayed longer, we can’t recommend this hostel enough!
