How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewThe owner is very friendly. He helped us to get a Tuk Tuk to Angkor Wat and arranged airport transfer for us. Very helpful. The location is within walking distance to Old Market and nearby has many things to eat.

Verified reviewGreat central location, near (but not in) the center. Very quiet. This was indeed a home stay, and the owners are very warm and friendly. Although there is no dining (or even coffee) here, numerous options are mere steps away.
After 3 days, I had to ask to have my towels changed. WiFi was good in the front of the property, much more spotty towr the rear, where my room was located.

Verified reviewthe tuk tuk driver who was recommended by the hotel was very pushy and extorted much higher prices than other drivers on the streets.
Thanks for your recommendation. Please note our price per cycle (big and small cycle, many temples). it is not for a temple’s price as the street’s ) You have already see them. Thanks

Verified reviewStaff was nice and cooperative and everything and they help me set up a tuk tuk tour of the Angkor Wat complex.
This hotel doesn't have internet. They say they do, but they don't. I mean, they do, have a wifi network that they'll give you the password to, and you may be able to even see a website or two on there, but if you want to be able to stream stuff or make WhatsApp calls, don't count on it.
Thanks for your recommendation, I will check it as well again with company. Sometimes was not going well by company or storming’s.

Verified reviewI stayed here for 6 nights and this place exceeded my expectations. The owner was friendly and always ready to help. The room was large and very clean with a nice bathroom, a very comfortable bed and a nicely working air conditioning unit and fan. Located only a few minutes' walk from the centre of Siem Reap, this was a great value for my money.
The wi-fi was unstable, it would work fine and at times it would slow down to very low speeds. Behind the building there is a family with 2 or 3 dogs that barked in the middle of the night, they woke me up a couple of times during my stay.

Verified reviewExcellent bedroom, space to store clothes and luggage, clean, bathroom had a shower partition so the bathroom didn’t get wet as many places do. Excellent location close to Pub street and downtown markets.
Unfortunately there is limited outdoor seating and no pool. Even a cooling pool or hot tub on the rooftop might be considered for future development.

Verified reviewMr. Sopov is very frendly, nice guy. He was there to help all the time and answered all my questions. He even aloud us to check out late because we needed to refresh ourselves after a Floading Village tour before we went to airport. You will know what I mean when you meet him. Guesthouse is close to Travel Mart bus stop, Bar's street, 7/11 etc. Mr.Sopov recommended Kmer Grill restaurant and we loved the food there. Thanks Mr.Sopov

Verified review- The owner of the hotel was so lovely, a happy and friendly guy always there to greet you - The location is perfect, about a 5 minute walk to the centre and from there you're kind of around everything - Also close to lots of travel companies to book bus tickets with etc - The room was super big and spacious, quiet, and a nice place to relax. - Bathroom was clean and it was nice to have a shower that was partitioned between the toilet - They were happy to help with fresh towels, toilet paper etc - They were also super quick with our laundry
I can't fault this place! The only thing I would say is the road that the hotel is on must be a place where the stray dogs sometimes hang around. I felt quite intimidated by them but was with my boyfriend. But if you're comfy with dogs you are fine but I am not ha! I know if I was solo and had to walk past them I wouldn't feel very safe
