Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesAll good.
Boutique property with chill vibe. Very quiet. Private rooftop pool was amazing. Spacious rooms with good AIr Con. In the morning we would hear Buddhist chanting and bird song. Good restaurants nearby. Convenient location to everything. Very welcoming, friendly hosts who looked after every need. Offers for organizing tours, beautiful breakfast daily, greetings when we would come and go. Just lovely.

United KingdomCan't think of anything
In a very busy and noisy city this was an oasis of peace and quiet. The location is brilliant as it is near the interchange of the metro and the sky train. They stored our luggage until the evening and the shower before going to the airport was really good. Great cost effective organisation of taxi to the airport.

AustraliaMinor things - The property was darkly decorated, making it hard to see in dark parts of the bedroom and kitchen. Second bedroom only had one single bed, which may be an issue if you have two kids. Would love to see the property decrease single use plastic water bottles and invest in a water filter and refill station
I would recommend this as a home base for small families interested in visiting the Angkor Temple complex. There are 3 x one bedroom and 1 x two bedroom apartments in this small complex. All feature a hip-deep rooftop pool and sun lounge deck, kitchen facilities, TV, and good sized rooms and beds. Property offers free breakfast daily, free laundry service and shuttle tuk tuk to the main part of town. Download the Grab Taxi app for cost effective and efficient travel elsewhere around Siem Reap. Location is ideal, away from the chaos and closer to the temples than most - There's a fabulous coffee shop at the end of the laneway (koko), the ABA bank will change your money, pharmacy and 7/11 and hawker stalls for fresh cheap lunches. Staff were friendly and respectful of privacy, helpful with suggestions if requested. We loved spending hot afternoons on the rooftop reading a book, dipping in the pool, having nice family time. Airport pickup service ($35 USD) is a comfortable people mover with friendly driver. Allow 45 mins travel.

CambodiaThe hotel is located in a quiet neighborhood, but it was hard for me to get there because Google Maps kept telling me to turn down impossibly small streets. Once I ignored the driving instructions and looked at the map myself I was able to get there, but instructions from the hotel prior to the stay would have been helpful.
Breakfast, which was served near our private plunge pool on the roof, was excellent. Four breakfast options with customization possible, the view of the city around us was wonderful, and the plants and pool all made for a delightful experience.

United KingdomReactive rather than the local knowledge place we thought we were booking. We befriended a nearby hotel to give us the inside tips that gave us some unique experiences. That said, When we asked for a trip they delivered. We never met the manager who had promised to much. That was a shame as we felt we had to renegotiate the things we thought we had negotiated. We stayed ten nights which was prob too long. Room was rather dimly lit and pool was v shallow so think very very large jacquzi dip pool rather than easy to swim in. I wouldn’t recommend the lake trip (as you were just a walking dollar sign with fake floating market to skim more off you) nor the monk blessing as blog advertised as an hour n it lasted probably 20 mins. It is a special secluded place but lack of info meant it was more hard work and location was more expensive area so we had to do our own research to find better restaurants. We found three lovely places ourselves and also there were ceramics workshop and amazing gallery museum nearby that weren’t even mentioned. Needs a better list of places to visit.
Private and suits independent-minded traveller. Free daily laundry was lovely. Plenty of space to move within the villa. Felt like an Airbnb with daily cleaning. On-hand Tuk Tuk including a free daily trip. They pulled out all the stops to make my wife feel special in her birthday.

AustraliaNothing at all, we loved it.
We had such a wonderful stay at De Sarann Villa, the staff could not be friendlier and more helpful, nothing was ever a problem and they were always ready to help. Every day there was a tuk tuk available for a free drop off and pick up into town. The room was spotless, and our pool was always clean and ready to use. It's only a short walk to some shops including a 7/11 and an ATM. On one day we used their tuk tuk tour service to visit some of the temples, it's was great value and lots of fun, they also organised scooter hire for us. The area is nice and quiet and the hotel is very safe.

GermanyEverything was perfect. Only thing I would improve is working with a restaurant with western cuisine, too, as especially child’s from there often prefer eating things like pizza, pasta or French fries…
Very nice and friendly staff, you could ask them for everything. Awesome little Villa with a private pool with shower on the rooftop. Very comfortable bed, good equipped kitchen and a big bathroom with shower and bathtub. Breakfast (very good) has 4 options, 2 continental and 2 Asian. You can order tasty lunch/dinner from a nearby Khmer Restaurant or ask the hotel drivers to bring you in 5 minutes to Town (Pub street/All cheers street/etc). A 7eleven-Store is on the next corner, just 2 min by walk. Different Tours can be organized by the hotel for a very fair amount. Hotel is between city center and Angkor, Angkor Ticket Office is very close. Special thanks to Poy, my TukTuk driver all the days, who brought me to the best temples at Angkor and took very good care of me offering lots of cold drinks while on tour and telling interesting facts about Angkor and Siem Reap. And of course to Rhina and her staff too for everything! You are the best and I would like to come back!

TaiwanThe sofa was a little narrow.
We had an absolute blast at this location. Our hosts were always kind, and even packed us a breakfast to take away on our final morning when we needed to catch the 7am bus to the airport. We rented our own scooter (which we regularly drive and are licensed for in Taiwan) for daily use around Angkor, etc, but used the free tuk tuk in the evenings to go for dinner and back. This meant we were free to enjoy cocktails. The swimming pool was an amazing perk, and we enjoyed cooling off in the late afternoons as well as eating breakfast by it. We would stay here again if f we returned to Cambodia.

AustraliaNot a complaint so much as a heads-up for other travellers. The suites are located off a road where you have to travel through a narrow alley, it's big enough for tuk-tuks but a tight squeeze for cars/4WD's. So when you are returning to your room you will want to book a tuk-tuk back
When we arrived there were no other guests so we were upgraded to the largest and most expensive suite free of charge, which was very nice. The guest service from the staff was incredible. You stay in contact with an app (messenger/wechat etc) and they answer all concerns promptly. They provide free daily tuk-tuk rides to the city and make your breakfast to order, and also arranged taxi for us back to the airport. Very friendly. The location is great - near the city, but secluded enough in nature so it is quiet at night whilst sleeping. Our first morning was a holy day and we woke up to monks chanting in a nearby monastery which was pretty special. I would highly recommend for couples, a nice jungle getaway.
