Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

- staff (in particular the owner) were very nice & helpful - toiletries were provided, which was great! - the A/C was very good & the room was clean & spacious - good value for money, with a good location.

Room es moldy and smelly. Even the fresh bedsheets smelled moldy. I think it's already in the pillows and matrazes. We came in and even the floor is not really dry and wasn't dry after hours. Stays a thin cover all the time. Pictures looking better as it is.
Rooftop bar is super cool

Our room was right underneath the rooftop bar so it was quite noisy. The other reviews are right the wifi is terrible. The island has power outages so there was no power quite frequently meaning no air con. Cleanliness is questionable.
The staff are very lovely and very helpful, the location is perfect everything is walking distance and the bar upstairs plays very good live music which is only on Saturday nights (I think) the vibes were very good.

WiFi didn’t work in the room, only in communal area.
Location was brilliant and staff was excellent. Room was very basic, no TV or fridge, but when you’re staying on such a beautiful island you don’t want to stay indoors anyway. Also AC was a life saver. Almost forgot, at rooftop bar you can buy the best cocktails

Check out is at 1030... No problem for me because of an early ferry, but standard is usually 11. Close to the "action" so if you go early to bed you may need earplugs, but mostly quiet at least after midnight. Wifi was not good in rooms, but ok in common areas.
Ac, and hot water 😃 Just saying because it's not standard everywhere. Clean, good bed, good mid price option. Walking distance from ferries.

Non lift ( elevator) and it's four floors high. The bathroom floor tiles slope away from the waste hole, so when you have a shower the bathroom has a very wet floor. No fridge.
The location was great. A short walk from the beach and beach street. The staff was very helpful and friendly The room was basic but clean. It had a kettle which was good. I recommend this guest house as. Great place to stay in Kaoh Touch.

Room was never cleaned in 4 days. Our room was on the 3rd floor and wifi was not strong.
Very good value for the price! Big, comfortable and well equipped room. Good vibes, efficient and friendly staff. We could use the shower before and after checking in/out. Very convenient! There's a restaurant that offers very tasty food at fair price. Great location.

The staff are incredibly friendly, and chatting with them is always delightful. On top of that, the living environment is excellent—peaceful and relaxing. The food at their restaurant is not only delicious but also reasonably priced. The room is clean and well-maintained, with great natural lighting. The only minor issue is that the floor might feel slightly slippery when stepping out of the bathroom. Overall, it was an excellent experience.

A mosquito net would have been useful. The budget room doesnt have hot water and no AC,but a fan, but that didnt bother me, as the weather wasn' t that hot, so the fan was eonough.
Good location, just around the corner of the main street. The room was provided with shampoo, soap, wifi, the room was quite big, nice staff and the price for a private budget room was good. You have many reastaurants, laundry services, scooter rental places right around the corner, so eventhough the Guesthouse is in a quite street, you're just a 200 meter walk away from the lively main street

The WiFi or cell service did not work in my room. The WiFi worked in other parts of the place just not in my room. The sheets had a funky smell to them

You had to walk up the hill a bit and then were surrounded by really poor houses, which made me kinda sad.
Was not right in the „party scene“, which is nice. But it‘s still really central. Room was fine, nothing special.
