The pillows need replacing, they have an old man musk smell and I checked they are very stained.

Due to coming out of season the bar wasn’t open and there is lots of work happening around but that didn’t ruin our experience just something to be aware of.

We had a fantastic stay here and the staff were amazing! Helped organise a pick up from long set beach ($10 USD), we also hired a scooter from them and they answered any questions we had. The room itself was super clean and spacious. Would 100% stay again.

Mattress was quite hard but once I got used to it I was still sleeping okay.

The property was on the quiet end of town, and was beautiful, has a gorgeous view, large room with incredible AC and wi-fi, and great shower/bathroom. Also has a really nice outdoor deck with bar/restaurant which has an amazing view over the bay. Staff were very friendly and helpful, easy to organise late check-out. It’s also in a great location, only 100 metres from the Sok San town, so super close to beaches and everything you need (scooter rental etc).

Little far from the main parts, but not an issue as the beach was so much better and some restaurants in the village.

Lovely place to stay, the rooms were big. Bathroom was clean. Everything was comfortable, aircon, kettle, hairdryer, towels! The lady who worked in the bar was so sweet!

Very neat room with a beautiful view. The host was very nice, always trying to know if we were ok. The place was in a quiet spot perfect to sleep but closed from all the restaurants . The only point was the hard spring mattress but its the same in pretty much all Cambodia.

We really enjoy our stay in this hotel so much so that we stayed longer than planned. The room was comfortable and had a nice view. The hotel owner Lukas was really helpful and so friendly. He only took over the place a few months ago and has done wonders with the place. He organised many activities for us too and this was much appreciated. At the hotel there was also snorkelling and paddle boards available too. The hotel is situated at the end one of the most authentic village on the island (much better for our taste compared to the backpackers resorts in the south of the island). Sok Sank village also has plenty of restaurants choices and we did not have a bad meal. I highly recommend the hotel and the location.

Absolute gem, a mini paradise in a quiet area of Koh Rong. Perfect if you are a solo traveller and want a break from the hostels for a few days, which is what I was doing. The views, the rooms, the bar / food were all top notch. Surrounding restaurants (rec the pizza place nearby) are good and the beach is right on your doorstep. The owner and staff were so welcoming and really made the stay that much more enjoyable. “If you’re happy I’m happy”.

There’s truly nothing to dislike about Lanting Villas, but it’s worth keeping in mind that this is Cambodia, where things don’t always run as seamlessly as they might elsewhere. That said, any minor hiccups we encountered were met with exceptional hospitality. The real, expertly brewed coffee was some of the best we’ve had on our trip. Our room was modern, spotless, and incredibly comfortable, with an unbeatable sea view across Sok San Bay. And let’s talk about the shower—without a doubt, the best we’ve had in both Vietnam and Cambodia! It’s the little details like this that make a stay truly memorable. Lucas, the owner, and his wife are fantastic hosts—welcoming, attentive, and always happy to help with anything you need. From arranging a quality scooter for us the moment we arrived to offering great local advice, their hospitality made our stay effortless. We initially booked for two nights but fell in love with the place so much that we extended for four more! The location is ideal, with plenty of restaurants and tour booking options just a short walk away. The GTVC boat conveniently drops you off at Sok San Pier, just a five-minute walk from the villas. Exploring the island by scooter was a fantastic experience. A few sections of the ride were off-road, but even with my wife as a passenger, I had no trouble—though I do have mountain biking experience, which helped. For those who enjoy snorkeling, there’s an incredible spot just 15 minutes’ walk (or 4 minutes by bike) from Lanting Villas. The visibility was an astonishing 50 feet, and the coral reef was teeming with vibrant marine life—better than any boat trip snorkeling spot we visited in both Vietnam and Cambodia!

the only mistake was the toilet seat did not fit.

great accommodation. the most beautiful beach on Koh Rong. the rooms are well equipped. the best shower in cambodia. hairdryer, coffee maker, towels. the bed is pleasantly hard. functional and quiet air conditioning. outside there is a good restaurant where they cook great food. the prices for drinks are a bit higher. the staff is nice and helpful.
