Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaThe only thing, the menu was very poor. We have been to this resort 3 times over 11 years. The ceaser salad was the wrong dressing and way to much. The bacon needed to be crispy. The scallops wrapped in bacon needed a dipping sauce. Breakfast was good. Some things on the menu where not available.

United KingdomThin bed mattress on hard surface gave me temporary backache and affected sleep quality. Breakfast was nice but repetitive and to order only with slow service.
Unique circular domes or igloos to stay in. Probably the best view of the bay from the swinging beds - reserve before breakfast to avoid disappointment!

NetherlandsVery poorly managed. Everything is old and dirty. The employees are very very kind, but don’t really know what they’re doing (don’t fire them, train them).
The location (so just pick another hotel on this beach) and the kindness of the staff

United KingdomThis hotel was more expensive than others on this stretch of beach and perhaps I was expecting more because of that. I would expect our rooms to be cleaned every day, they weren't. You had to request cleaning, we didn't realise this at first. Particularly in the heat, when you can't flush paper down the toilet, it's pretty gross for the bathrooms not to be cleaned daily. The lighting in the rooms was terrible, very harsh and no way to turn lights off from the bed in the middle of the room. Also the pods had blinds that didn't cover the whole window or sky light so nights were bright from the lights in the gardens and then when the sun came up. The description said that food/pizza was always available during the day, it wasn't. Lunch service stopped at 2pm. The eating / reception pod is a weird place. I felt that this resort was overall feeling tired and in need of a good spruce up. With some simple changes, a good clean, new linen etc it would be stunning. At the moment it's not.
The location of the Moonlight is truly extraordinary and the views from the pods over the white sand were mesmerising. We were just steps from the warm sea. The garden was stunning and being able to have breakfast here was special. the grounds were clean and well kept. The hotel organised a boat trip where we were able to swim with the phospheresence and that was great. You are just a short walk from good restaurants, bars and more lively resorts.

South AfricaIt's a bit older than the photos show. Nothing happening at the resort so you tend to go to other restuarants to more options to eat and entertainment.

FranceThe room isn't so pleasant to stay in even if the aesthetic is beautiful, the wall were thin so we heard all the noises from the outside, plus our bathroom was overflowing on the morning..
The location of the resort is pretty great, only a few minutes by walk from the boat stop. The room face the sea, so it's give a good impression once you arrived at the hotel! The staff was kind also.

South KoreaThere were some ants outside our room which were a little annoying, the hotel did have a free kayak and paddleboard but only one of each and they were in poor condition
Loved the free upgrade to an amazing unique room! The hotel is beachside and the breakfast was good. Many places outside to relax around the resort.

CambodiaIt's an amazing restaurant lively staff yummy Khmer food all food so fresh. Very beautiful look, clean, nice and helpful staff reliable transfers, and good food. Rooms are very spacious and pretty. All in all we had a very nice experience and good memories. We will definitely recommend this place It’s was an amazing for travel to there , The only suggestion I have is the wifi connection. I stayed at room number 10 with my couple, Wifi signal is not usable. The Cellcard connection does not exist. So I was pretty much offline the entire stay. so internet connection is not really an issue, so living off-grid is a plus at this instance. But for those who are looking to work remotely, this is a huge issue. Anyway I really have an amazing and beautiful time for staying with a beautiful resort with lovely staff, see you again on December.

United KingdomThe hotel doesn't quite hit the mark what with the opportunity it has with being located on the best part of Saracen beach. The food was overpriced so we ended up eating at the more touristy / backpacker end of the beach and judging by how busy the restaurant was, so did all the other guests; consequently, there wasn't much of a vibe about the place. Shame really...
We stayed in one of their round dome houses which were spectacular. The room was fun being completely circular with a circular bed in the middle. The beach was lovely with gorgeous white sand and blue water to swim in.

United KingdomAlthough the room was nice, the bathroom was outside and there were gaps around the windows/doors into the room meaning you were joined by wildlife e.g crickets and lizards (mostly on a night time) This really bothered us as we don’t like lizards and one night 1 got into our room so we spent most of the night awake paranoid! The beach location is beautiful however it is a 10 minute walk up the beach to where the restaurants/bars are. The hotel could do with a good refresh in terms on paint jobs (around pool area and exterior of rooms) and a good clean to make it look as inviting as the photos.
The hotel messaged us prior to our arrival and arranged to pick us up from the pier and bring us to the resort which was nice and saved us a fair walk down the beach. We then enjoyed quick check in and a welcome drink. The resort was right on the beach and had free kayaks and paddle boards for guests to use. The room was a good size however a little more run down than we expected and required some TLC. WiFi was decent and our room had a smart tv with movies loaded was nice on a night time. Robes, bath and pool towels and basic toiletries also provided. A/C worked perfect and a fan also provided.

United KingdomThe spray painted graffiti by the Cambodian government making visitors feel unwelcome.
The beach and grounds were kept really clean by the staff. Dinner on the beach was really nice. The food was excellent and well priced. Breakfast is limited and not up to much. The domed dining hall is a bit depressing. Unfortunately the Cambodian government are trying to evict the owners of this hotel and other hotels and bars and come around spraying massages with eviction dates on the buildings, so they can sell leases to developers, so this island will be spoilt and never be the same again. We wish the owners and brilliant staff well in the difficult situation that they find themselves in.

Hong KongOverall quite disappointing for the price paid. The staff are the opposite of proactive; they never seem ready to help or even say hello (except for the gardeners). For example every day at breakfast there would be either no plates or no cutlery or no coffee or no orange juice and they would just be standing there and wait til you asked then you had to wait (sometimes so long you weren’t sure if they had forgotten) thenor they would just bring one glass of orange juice so then i would have to ask for another for the rest of my family as I assumed they would just fill up the buffet juice dispenser. Similarly they do bring drinks to your sunloungers during the day, but only if you can find someone to ask. We had a dome room which looks gorgeous but aside from being aesthetically pleasing it’s entirely lacking in function- the start gazing hole is small so we could only see one star despite there being amazing stars on the island, it also obviously lets in a lot of light but you can’t cover it yourself you have to go to reception to ask them to put the cover on but it’s not a 24hr reception. We hadn’t thought this through on the first night and, excited to see the stars we left the cover off, only to be woken up around 5am from the sun. The next nights we had the cover on but on one night the wind blew it off and again we were woken up at 5am. Also even with the cover on all the windows are dome shaped but the blinds are rectangular so it is always fairly light in the mornings regardless. Additionally the acoustics of the dome, whilst funny to begin with, make every noise very loud and displaced. Even birds outside the window would sound like they were coming from inside on the other side of the room, again waking me up. You also have to remember to put the sign on your door for the room to be made up, they don’t automatically do it each day which seems odd to me compared to every other 4 star hotel I’ve stayed in.
aesthetically pleasing and good, quiet location on the beach for sunbathing in the day but not far from the other restaurants and bars. they also made the effort to clean any rubbish which had washed in on the tide from their section of the beach which made it even more pituresque

United KingdomOur room did not get cleaned during our stay here even though we specifically asked for it to be cleaned whilst we were out for the day. The food was expensive but very enjoyable. It was not made clear to us before we arrived that we would need to get a water taxi over to the property as it would have been a 45 min walk along the beach otherwise. We did managed to get a water taxi quite easily but had to pay extra for this.
The room was very beautiful and the bed was very comfortable with a great location on the beach front and it was only a 20 min walk from lazy beach which is also a very beautiful beach. The food was very nice but a little on the expensive side.

ChinaWhere to start. Hotel stated that they would collect us from pier, but when we arrived there was no one available, we carried bags down the beach to the hotel, it’s not a long walk. From the pictures online this hotel looks stunning and very instagramable but in reality it is run down and dirty. It could in fact be a brilliant place if it was given a little love and attention to detail. On arrival we were given a welcome drink of half a glass of apple juice and a small plate of fruit wrapped in cling film with plastic forks. This was a great example of how with just a little effort with presentation this would have elevated the experience. Once we were shown to our room, it was very disappointing again very run down and dirty. The towels were thin and discoloured, the sheets had marks from either fake tan or foundation. For a hotel that advertises as moonlight resort with skylights it would be good if the windows were washed. On the second day of our stay, I was unwell with stomach bug, we stayed around the hotel for the day, there was no offer to clean our room, to change towels or replenish supplies in the room. As I was unwell my husband went to reception to ask for more toilet paper and.water, it took a long time for this to come to our room, and then on check out we were charged well over the local rate for 2 small bottles of water. When I complained about this the staff replied ‘well did you ask for your room to be cleaned’ If we had been staying at one of the much cheaper hostel accomodations on the island I definitely would not have expected the room to be cleaned, but as one of the more expensive places this is something we expect as standard. Lastly the breakfast menu is very limited, it looks like there are several different options but in reality there are 3 different names for standard toast and eggs. We choose to have our breakfast delivered to our room terrace as the dome restaurant area is again dark and run down.
It was on the beach, but other than that there was nothing good about this hotel
