Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomNothing really. There was a little building work during our stay but this didn't really disrupt us and understand we were visiting in the office season
This is a great resort. David and his team are so helpful and friendly, nothing was ever too much trouble. We spent four nights here in the office season but we were blessed with good weather and only one rainy day. I can report the pool is all fixed and lovely to relax in. We enjoyed the restaurant, the spa, everything!

United KingdomFood needed improvement and more variety. Nowhere to sit for drinks after about 10pm, which I think they are trying to do for the future. Very very tired pool area and beach furniture. Balcony furniture in rooms was completely u suitable. Needed more comfort - we asked for Sunbeds to be brought up in the end
Beautiful location and lovely staff

United KingdomMentioned in other reviews were the pool tiles and decking area around the pool needing repair. David the hotel manager is always looking for ways to improve and progress the hotel/customer experience .....in May 2025 the pool and decking area are being completely replaced, the main restaurant area upgraded and the main pier extended/renovated. They are even adding in an additional relaxing area/bar by the main pier to enjoy sunset. This resort once these are completed in June 2025 will be perfect.
Spent a magical 7 nights with my wife at the Pearl Resort. The experience started 4+ months before we arrived. They were superb helping us to arrange the airport transfer/ferry to the island via WhatsApp, aswell as the ferry to Kep when we left and everything in-between. The support (Thona) was seamless and continued when we were at the resort arranging trekking, ferry transfers to other islands etc etc. We truly got the personal touch...went on two 15km treks around the island to lazy and sunrise beach, aswell as visit the lighthouse tower and a magical boattrip to snorkel/see the sunset at M'pai bay and plankton with Thona, David the resort manager and other members of his team...it was great fun and superbly managed. The staff on reception and in the restaurant were all smiles, extremely attentive and couldn't do enough for us. Whilst the food was excellent, especially the breakfast ( endless Fresh Mango...) which was often buffet style, for a few evening meals we did try another resort which is 10 mins walk and a Skybar only 5 mins walk away which was a nice change. We had an oceanview room which was high up and had uninterrupted sea views, and some 60-70m room floorspace and another 30m terrace. The rooms were clean and had all the luxuries you would expect.

FranceNothing ! Everything was great for us, but please note that: - you need to take a boat to go to the main bay - the pool was in renovation but it will be completed in a week!
The location is amazing; cut from the rest of the island by the forest around, so peaceful. Beautiful sunset. Nice food for breakfast (big portions). Restaurant’s food was very good too (pad thai 10/10). Staff so lovely. We got updraded to a beautiful room with balcony & sea view (instead of jungle room we had booked), it was truly wonderful. David and his team were so nice and accommodating during our stay in spite of the renovation. You can use paddles and canoes for free. Once the pool & restaurant renovations are completed (very soon) this place will be 10/10

United KingdomThere were building works on a new bar going on which was noisy. Many of the small tiles on the pool had fallen off which gave it rather a run down look. It also had a strange chemical in the water which I'd not encountered in any other pool.
Beach and location were great. Staff were really helpful in booking onward journeys and generally really friendly and kind.

United KingdomThe food was very good and nicely presented, but the menu was possibly a bit tame.
A little gem of a resort. Small and peaceful. Set in amongst the trees, with Hornbills coming to visit. Lovely beach for swimming. Free use of kayaks. Plunge pool on the veranda was a plus. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Restaurants at resorts on Sandy Beach (eg Tubes Resort) 10 mins walk away, for a change of scene and menu. Straightforward to get to Pearl Beach on the GTVC Speedboat ferry service. There is no nightlife, but that is why we chose this resort, not a busier one in Saracen Bay.

SwitzerlandSecluded location might not be recommended for active people who want to explore the island, since you always need a boat to get to the center, it is a bit messy especially if you want to chase the sunset and get back to hotel in the dark after 6pm, consider also waiting times. Restaurant quality is a hit and miss, but the prices are much higher than on the rest of the island. It is not a problem for Europeans, however it seems a bit unfair. There are 2 restaurants outside the resort, accessible with 5 or 15min walk, however you need to cross a place where they burn waste continuously. The room was alsmost 100m2, but really not designed for children, they had to sleep on a big sofa without blankets. Hot water was not working, however in such a place not really an issue for me.
The resort is in a secluded place of the island with a private small beach which is very nice and it is cleaned up by the staff every morning. The hotel has a high level of confort, and there aren't many other options on the island if you are looking for that. Kayak and snorkeling equipment are available for the guest. Nice breakfast. Recommended for people who want to stay with conforts and relax on the beach. Powerful internet.

United KingdomThe pool and surrounding decking need some serious work carried out to it to make it both safe and aesthetically pleasing. I wouldn’t advise this property for long stays.
The properties location made it truly exclusive. Quite small, intimate and relaxing. Friendly staff who tried their best to make our stay memorable.

FranceThe hotel is overpriced, the food and juices at the restaurant are good but too expensive for the quality and quantity. Also, the bbq was 18 dollars during the day and suddenly 20 dollars at night... It was bbq three nights in a row. There were no sunbeds available after 8am, because there were not enough and people were going at 7am to book them by putting a towel...no one was freeing the sunbeds during the day so either you get one or nothing at all... The equipment e.g., kayaks could be more taken care of, and the beach should be cleaned everyday. People are leaving trash and no one is picking them up. The swimming pool doesn't look clean and the tiles start to fall off...
The staff is very nice and friendly that makes the experience great! The location was great to relax, small shop behind, hiking possibilities to lazy beach. The bedroom was great, hot shower and clean. The breakfast could be more diverse but was good especially the omelette! The beach was great especially at night with the sunset. Overall it was great but there are things that should be improved to match the price.

QatarThe hotel has its merits but falls short of expectations given the high price. The private pool on the terrace is disappointing—too small, cold, and with unclean water. The pump is noisy, starts early in the morning, and fails to keep the water adequately clean, rendering the pool unusable. The main pool's mosaic tiles are coming off, creating a dilapidated appearance and posing a hazard with sharp edges. Additionally, the restaurant's food quality and variety do not meet the standards of a luxury resort and are overpriced (except for the breakfast which is good). At this price level, I would expect much higher standards across the board.
The staff is exceptionally friendly and accommodating, ensuring a welcoming and pleasant stay. The hotel is situated on a stunning private beach, offering a tranquil and picturesque setting. However, its secluded location means you'll need to take a taxi boat to reach Saracen Bay ($5 per person), weather permitting, if you'd like to explore beyond the hotel.

FranceThe finishing work in the building could be better (you still see paint on the doors for example) as it makes things look cheap Not enough sun beds (if you arrive after 9:00am, you can’t find available sun beds on the beach anymore…) Value for money could be improved in general (for the food for example)

United KingdomThe menu is a bit limited and some things are overpriced compared to other places on the island. You aren’t quite as cut off as you might think as there is a path to sandy beach where you pass a restaurant if you want a change, especially if you are staying here for any length of time.
This is in a very quiet location with its own private sandy beach with sun loungers, kayaks and paddle boards free to use. It’s possible to do some good snorkelling if you go round to the right. The villas are extremely comfortable and have everything that you need. It’s so lovely not to have to wear shoes! The staff are very welcoming and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay.

Amazing idyllic location, away from the main more built up area of Saracen bay, but still with everything you need on site. Very helpful front of desk staff and one of the most pleasant restaurant/service teams we have ever met - Chivon and Khea deserve a particular shout out! The staff were very communicative and helpful when we had an issue rearranging our booking dates prior to arrival, which was appreciated.

ItalyThe lobby was in desperate need of a work of paint. Stains on the ceiling. The pool wasn't really enticing. The deepest part looked a little grimy. The breakfast hasn't the complexity or the variety of other hotels of the same category I have visited before, but it is acceptable. They should at least refill the missing food.
Nice hotel with its own private beach. Compared to other beaches nearby it is clean and not full of litter. The room was big, clean, coffee e tea, water available. The bathroom was huge. Quiet and full of nature nearby.
