How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Verified review…everything; it was our perfect stay. But we especially enjoyed the village atmosphere: boozing with fisherman on a rainy day while waiting for the seafood hand-selected from the boat’s catch the night before, to be prepared for our enjoyment. Don’t miss the cornershop’s steamed pumpkin cake!
From a Western perspective, you might find that the Cambodian experience generally, feels a bit different — sometimes in ways that catch you off guard. Things don’t always work the way you might expect, and that can be disappointing if you're holding them up to a ‘Western’ standard. But they can also be the things that add to the country’s charm. There was something uniquely Cambodian about the whole Palm Beach experience — a rawness, warmth, and authenticity that I haven’t found elsewhere. And if you can let go of the idea that everything should run like it does back home, you’ll find so, so much to enjoy. Salacia’s Suite captures that balance wonderfully. It’s welcoming, comfortable and friendly without pretending to offer the polish of a resort. It’s not about five-star perfection — it’s about character, atmosphere, and making you feel like you’re part of the place. Whether you’re into exploring local culture or just want a relaxing spot to unwind, Salacia’s Suite has something for just about everyone. Just come with an open mind and a bit of curiosity, and you’ll likely leave with some unforgettable memories.

Verified reviewThe most amazing place we have ever stayed at! The accommodation was so much better than the pictures shows! We stayed two nights but we could easily have stayed a few more nights. The room is located away from the property which is both good and bad. Good because of the privacy and very nice view. Bad because we lived door to door with locals, who were sweet but listened to high music from time to time and also sang a lot of karaoke. Nothing that the hotel can change but did make an impact on the stay. The food was great and with reasonable prices. They also helped with renting a scooter. Great restaurant and bar facilities. I would definitely recommend this place to friends and family!
We were informed that we could easily order to get the food delivered, but we needed to go to the restaurant to make the order. It was not possible to order for both lunch and dinner at the same time since it was not “possible in the system”. Not the biggest issue but a bit inconvenient. It could easily be fixed with a what’s app number to text to. (They had another unknown app but it did not work to download when we tried). When ordering in the bar, it was also a bit of chaotic and felt like a lot of new staff (only one specific knew how to take breakfast order and payments). Also when asking for refill of the complimentary water for second night, the receptionist said it was only when cleaning. I said they did not need to spend time on cleaning, we only needed the water. But “no, only when cleaning”. So I said “okey, then clean” and they sent three people to clean - which was totally unnecessary. So the service level could have been better.

Verified reviewThe location itself was very beautiful it goes directly to the beach. It has this floating bed which I really like cause I can relax, watching the waves of the ocean and the sunset while listening to my favorite song to their Bluetooth speaker.
I ordered English breakfast but they give me different meal. The waiter did not allowed us to eat in the room I mean what’s the use of those many tables in the room if we cannot use it?

Property has restaurant. Just a note there is absolutely nothing around the property. So if your goal is to party this is absolutely wrong place. I wish I could have stayed longer.

Verified reviewThe accommodation is very rustic and has a lovely view out over the water. The location is very secluded and good for those wanting to get away. The seclusion is also a bit of a negative as there are no immediate options other than the Palm Beach restaurant/bar, although their food and staff are quite good. There is only fans in the suite and no AC which means the humidity is at 90% all the time over the water.

We have had guests that really appreciated that, but ofcourse not everyone is the same. We don't think you need an air con, because it cools itself by the breeze of the ocean. There are two big fans and a smaller one to keep it cool when there is no wind. But some people just think an air con is needed. Since the pandemic there are roads on the island, so it is easy to go about and visit other places. You say you felt kind of stuck at one place for food and drinks, but that was actually not true. You are a motor bike, a walk or a tuk tuk away from other places. If you would have studied a map of the island you could have known this already. The same about the air con, it is not written that there is one in the house, so it is not to be missed. Maybe this place was not what you were searching for. Verified reviewThe suite is everything! Every detail of the room was thought with love and comfort. We enjoyed the bed swing and the hammocks by the sea, and loved the food! Even though there’s no a/c, the fans and the breeze do the job of keeping the room breezy. Miri was a wonderful host, and here beautiful story is worth hearing.

Not located in the party part of the island if that's what you are looking for but absolutely worth a visit while in koh rong. Verified reviewBest ever. As a regular guest on Palmbeach I stayed this time for two days in Salacia’s Suite on the Palmbeach pier. Never had such an amazing room in my life. Just walk out of your bed into the sea. 100% privacy on your private terrace with a swing bed, sofa and a special kind of hammocks above the sea. Sleeping with the doors open the sea breeze fluttering your bed sheets, like a dream. I would call it a honeymoon suite. This bungalow standing in the sea is incomparable with all the new concrete bungalows on the island. For the rest of my life there will be no hotel room good enough anymore.
That we had to leave, cause I want to live there.
