I just finished my stay at Setha’s homestay and I couldn’t be happier. Setha is an exceptional host, incredibly kind, warm, and always ready to help with anything you need. From the moment I arrived, I felt genuinely welcomed and well taken care of. The bungalow I stayed in was beautiful, surrounded by nature and perfect for anyone looking for peace and quiet. The mattress was super comfortable, honestly one of the best I’ve ever slept on while traveling! The Wi-Fi was also impressively fast, which was great for staying connected. The whole place has a relaxed and authentic vibe. There’s a clean and inviting common area where you can unwind or chat with other guests. I wholeheartedly recommend this Homestay, it’s a little slice of paradise, made even more special by Setha’s wonderful hospitality.

Nothing, it was the best place of our whole holiday. We had been worried before arriving that only having a fan would make sleeping hard as had been used to AC but we found it very comfortable to sleep

This was our favourite place of our whole holiday! Setha’s place was so tranquil and the garden was beautiful, such a lovely setting. Setha and her family were so welcoming and helpful with recommendations also. Walkable from town if we wanted though only a short tuk tuk ride also and was so peaceful and quiet in the evening.

A great surprise to stay with Setha. A little jewel in the city with her own pond on which the lotus plants are flowering. You have to take the time to listen to Setha's life story. It was a gamechanger for our children and a lesson in life.

Setha was an Amazing host, very kind and attentive. In general the place is beautiful, comfortable, a unique hostel with a real Cambodian vibe. The food was generous and tasty. In particular, my private room was good, super comfortable bed, quite (because I was looking this environment), have a fan and one cozy terrace. A lot benefits in an excellent price. You can walk to the center or rent a bike to discover this land (recommend).

The family were super sweet, sitting having chats with us and allowing us to cook a family lunch with them! The garden is gorgeous and it’s lovely falling asleep to the sounds of the frogs.

I had a wonderful stay at this homestay in Battambang. The location is beautiful and offers a deep immersion into the local culture. Honestly, nothing. We only wish we could’ve stayed longer.

Everything! Setha is the kindest, most thoughtful host you could hope for—nothing was ever too much. From the moment we arrived, we felt truly at home. Her cooking is absolutely delicious, and every meal felt like it was made with love. There were always fresh mangoes available, flowers in the room, and so many small touches that showed her incredible attention to detail. The homestay is peaceful, well kept, and full of heart. We left feeling cared for and very grateful.

The hosting family was welcoming us with open arms and a very warm heart. We felt immediately like at home. The location is a wonderful green spot with many plants and flowers which makes the place calm and perfect to come down and relax. Setha & her kids were very personal and authentic; we spend a very special evening together having private chats about life... about the world. I highly recommend a stay there if you wish to spend an authentic moment with locals with an interesting life.

Staying at this homestay in Battambang was truly one of the highlights of my trip to Cambodia. From the moment I arrived, I felt like part of the family. The hosts were incredibly welcoming, always ready with a smile, and eager to share stories about the local culture and way of life. The room was simple but clean and comfortable, with a fan and mosquito net provided. What made this stay special was the authenticity. Every morning, I woke up to the sound of birds and the smell of homemade Khmer breakfast – delicious and made with fresh ingredients from the garden. I had the chance to help cook dinner one evening, which turned into an unforgettable cultural exchange. The homestay is surrounded by beautiful countryside, and the hosts were kind enough to lend me a bicycle to explore the nearby villages, temples, and rice fields. It was peaceful, scenic, and gave me a real glimpse into rural Cambodian life. If you’re looking for a genuine, heartwarming experience beyond the usual tourist spots, I can’t recommend this homestay enough. It’s perfect for travelers who want to slow down and connect with locals in a meaningful way.

Very easy to recommend, an incredible homestay with an incredibly kind host. The rooms are cosy and the beds are soft. No air con needed as the fans did the job perfectly well. The host will organise transport and tours for you and go into detail about the local culture and environment. I would recommend this honesty to anyone that is staying in the Battambang area.

I had a lovely time at the Setha about the world homestay . They picked us up from the bus station and made us feel welcome. We ate lunch and breakfast there and both were good. The kids and funny and cute. It was super hot when we were there (around 40degrees in the daytime) but night time was still ok for sleeping with the fan in the room. I would recommend it if you don't mind being out of town a little. I'm Battambang we saw the bamboo train, the bat cave, temples, killing caves, and checked out the town. There are some good places to eat in town - Eden cafe and The Fringe.
