Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

New ZealandThere was a dull hum from the hotel’s generator which could be heard when sitting by the pool at our villa. The staff were very responsive and offered to move us to a quieter spot. When booking, request a villa where you can’t here it.
The food was outstanding, and all the staff very friendly and looked after us superbly. The villas are beautiful, large and spacious and the villa pool large enough to swim short laps in, which we loved. We also love the ease of access to the island, just 10 minutes from the mainland on the hotel boat.

United KingdomThe food was amazing but more expensive than we had realised. There are tons of activities you can do for free but the additional ones (which you pay for) were quite expensive.
We stayed for 5 nights and it was so relaxed but with enough different scenery (private pool, communal pool and beach) we felt we could have stayed longer. The staff were amazing and very helpful! It was a beautiful stay! We made the most of the free activities they put on eg. head massage tutorial, meditation, paddleboarding etc.

Belgiumonly that our stay was too short. and maybe that is a small detail that although there are 2 restaurants you can only eat alternately in 1 of the 2 because they close alternately
the location is unique. The extremely modern villas blend into the beautiful setting and the view is fantastic. Everyone of the staff is extremely friendly and goes out of their way to make you satisfied. Nothing is too much to ask. possibly the best service ever and we travel a lot.

GermanySix Senses Krabey Island in Cambodia is a sanctuary of luxury nestled in the heart of the ocean. From the moment we arrived, we were transported to a world of unparalleled beauty and tranquility. The resort's secluded villas, nestled amidst lush jungle foliage with panoramic views of the ocean, offer a sense of serenity and seclusion unlike any other. Each villa boasts its own private infinity pool, where you can soak up the sun and marvel at the breathtaking vistas that stretch out before you. The location of Six Senses Krabey Island is nothing short of spectacular. It offers the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. What truly sets this resort apart is its incredibly attentive and helpful staff. Our personal concierge, Kumpheak, went above and beyond to ensure that every aspect of our stay was nothing short of perfection. Her warmth and dedication made our anniversary celebration truly unforgettable, and we are incredibly grateful for her hospitality. Words cannot describe how thankful we are for this kind of person. Thank you Bong Kumpheak for everything. The service throughout the resort is exceptional, with every need anticipated and exceeded. The cuisine is a culinary delight, with a focus on fresh, locally sourced ingredients that celebrate the vibrant flavors of Cambodia. The architecture of Six Senses Krabey Island is simply stunning, blending seamlessly with the natural surroundings to create a sense of harmony and tranquility. The resort's commitment to sustainability is evident in every aspect of its design and operation, further enhancing its appeal. In conclusion, Six Senses Krabey Island surpassed all our expectations and stands as the epitome of luxury and hospitality. United KingdomWhile the breakfast was stunning, the rest of the food was not as outstanding as the place would have suggested (although one restaurant was closed).
Most beautiful hotel I have seen in my life. the facilities are just brand new and stunning. The staff could not be more smiling and helpful. The island is magnificent and each villa offers a lot to of privacy. The spa / gym is a true wonder and offers daily classes (aerial yoga etc.).

DenmarkWe read that there would be 3 restaurants at the island, but two of them were closed. The main restaurant had a poor menu to choose from, leading us to eat the same meal we liked.
The location, surroundings, the staff, the villas.
