The attitudes of the staff were so unpleasant. It was mainly with the management.

Our one night stay at the Terres Rouges Lodge was a horrible experience and one we hope nobody else will ever have to experience. Stay away from this hotel!! The pictures are misleading and this hotel is mismanaged. Bed Bugs, Mold, Mildew, stay away!! For starters we were charged $61 USD each night for a falsely advertised hotel that should be ranked a 2 star definitely not a 4 star. This hotel is a dying business and they treat their customers disrespectfully. Our first room had a stench and an electrical problem so they moved us to another room. The second room was much worse! It came with two towels that smelled like mildew, distilled vinegar, and human waste. When we asked for new towels, they made it seem like it was okay and they would replace them but when we got to the checkout the next day, they charged us $12. They never told us there was a cost for towels. We had 2 adults and 2 children in our first room, yet we had two full body towels. The lite orange towels were the ones we received upon check that were low quality pool towels but the brown towels of better quality were the ones they gave us. Our room had mold, backed up sewage, and a mildew/ poop stench that was so bad it was in our pillows, towels, and blankets. The queen bed was hard as a rock, the pillows were stained with dirt marks, and there were definite signs of bed bugs! The WiFi didn’t work, there was no phone in the room to call the front desk, there was no bath soap in the showers, and worst of all the sink water went from brown to clear multiple times. Do not brush your teeth with that water!! You could tell the bathroom floors were mopped with mops that were soaked in urine because you could smell urine in both half bathrooms. I would advise you not to walk without shoes if you stay here!! We didn’t stay for the free breakfast because of they’re running their hotel like this, the food must be nasty too. This is a ghost hotel. I didn’t see anybody there but us!!

The location was quite central and in front of the lake and on a main road. However it was quiet and peaceful.

The room was old and a bit dusty (and more dusty in certain areas, like the lamps and the headboard of the bed). The amenities were too old and lacking maintenance, like the shower head was clogged so it didn't spray water well. The pool was not maintained and out of service. The door lock was only the knob and nothing else. It's about time for an upgrade for everything.

    Breakfast is okay.

The room is very pricy. They changed our room that we made reservations to different room without notifying us in advance. It was available while we booked. That room that they changed has broken door lock and dirty bathroom and bathtub isn’t working. I don’t know why they gave us that room. VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!! They kept us waiting until late night and decided to change us to another room. At least they should’ve provided us solution quickly.

the place is very beautiful, the gardens are lush. the pool is very large and the bedding was very firm, to our taste.

the price is very high given the service offered. the room was very dark and damp (traces of mold and water damage?). we could not get wifi in the room. the soundproofing was non-existent. (we were under the pool table of the governor's suite, it's as if they were playing pool in our bed).

    Beautiful decorations and helpful staff.

The staff speaks little English even though it’s a four star hotel. I don’t recommend dining at their restaurant because the food is good but does not match the price. $7 for a very simple fried rice and a way diluted (albeit by milk) latte. You can find better food options elsewhere.

    Nothing liked.

The price is too high for such a hotel. Our pillows and sheets were not clean, there was hair on pillows and they were stincky. The complete complext wasnt taken care in a proper way. We can not recommend this hotel, also if the city offers no better option unfortuantely.

Beautiful premises with lots of greenery in a scenic landscape. Amazing, spacious outdoor bathroom with huge bathtub, quality toiletries. Stylish room interior in traditional Chinese fashion. Nice, though small swimming pool.

No fridge available in the room, poor lighting, a number of things were not working properly (AC dripping, safe not opening etc.). Also, for that price, you'd expect top notch service, which was not the case.
