How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Verified reviewI cannot say enough about how much we loved our stay here. It is absolutely stunning, and the perfect place to relax. We only stayed one night but decided not to leave until the afternoon the following day and we were able to stay in our room until 2pm on the day we checked out which was very much appreciated. The staff were amazing and went above and beyond throughout the stay. The restaurant provided a great selection of food and we ate here for breakfast, lunch and dinner and it was all delicious. We also had fantastic foot massages that were only 20 dollars. Would definitely recommend and revisit.

Verified reviewThe beach is absolutely stunning, the loungers and pool and whole hotel is a beautiful aesthetic! The water is shallow and the sand clean and free from rubbish. They had a little library, shop space with a small amount of essentials. The room AC worked really well and the shower was super hot! Liked the beach bag in the room to use. House keeping were very efficient. We traveled around the island on a moped and do generally think this was the prettiest beach and resort!
Sadly we just felt the thing that let this hotel down was the staff- not that anyone was in anyway rude, it just felt like hard work trying to communicate or get assistance from them. For example, we rented a motor bike and basically just had the keys thrown at us and expected to go- we had to ask for a map, ask them to show us where was good to go and ask them to please come to the bike with us to inspect it and run us through the controls. Another example- We also did a plankton tour- (the plankton is amazing!) but when booking had to really ask them to explain what was involved, what we needed to bring and how long it lasted. None of the information was offered up to us freely. Finally, when trying to communicate with the staff about food allergies/requirements we felt the staff really did not understand. Although we appreciate in Cambodia there’s bound to be a language barrier, for a hotel that caters for large amounts of westerners, having some understanding about important dietary restrictions or questions regarding ingredients is pretty important. When asking about de-cafe coffee I was told yes- we have decafe. I had a feeling they just didn’t understand, so we had to ask them to show us the packaging- it was not decafe. We also heard other guests asking about various ingredients and getting very confused responses. I was also served food that was incorrect, whilst waiting for it to be rectified it had gone cold. By the time they came to rectify it, I told them it had gone cold and needed re-doing. I asked specifically please do not just ‘re-heat the meat’ I’m pregnant and need to be careful with things like that. They said yes, took it away and brought me the exact same thing I had just sent back- just re-heated and hidden in a new bun. Generally very concerning. I sent it back again, lost trust and told them not to bother making anything else- I just went to bed without dinner.

It is wonderful to know you appreciated the little touches such as the beach bag, efficient housekeeping, and the stunning setting of our resort. We are, however, very sorry to read that certain experiences did not meet your expectations. Please accept our sincere apologies for any inconvenience caused. Regarding the decaffeinated coffee request, we would like to clarify that we do have decaf coffee available and can prepare it as espresso, latte, Americano or cappuccino. It’s clear that there was a misunderstanding, and we will be increasing training in this area to ensure more accurate communication on dietary and allergy-related questions. With the scooter and plankton tour our staff followed the same procedure as with other guests providing maps, explanations and tour details. We regret if this information did not feel sufficient or proactive during your booking process and we will review how we can better anticipate guest needs and share details more clearly. For the burger incident, we understand your frustration especially given your pregnancy and we regret that reheating the original meat caused you to lose confidence in the meal. While our team offered to make a completely new dish, we understand that this experience left you disappointed and we take your feedback seriously. Your comments are invaluable in helping us improve and we hope you might consider returning in the future so we can provide you with a smoother and more enjoyable experience from start to finish. Verified reviewAstonishing beach, very clean (cleaned multiple times a day!), ecofriendly place (avoiding waste etc), silent and relaxed stay at the beach (there is plenty of space around each sunbed, enough sunbeds for all hotel guests), the bay has a nice location, clear water, houses have plenty of space, kayaks/SUPs to rent for free, nice motorbikes for rental, big menu for lunch/dinner, delicious food and cocktails, very friendly and helpful staff
Choice for breakfast is limited for people who are not into eggs, tables at the restaurant could be set (the dining „room“ is a little bit too minimalistic to our favour)

Great cocktails, great people and beautiful side of the island. We drove around the island and this was our fave side. Shout out to team member Karuth who went above and beyond! Highly recommend the three times cooked fries.
No mattress cover on the bed so when the sheets moved (and they did) you were on the mattress. I mentioned it to the team as an idea for improvement.

Verified reviewTo be honest, when the tuktuk took turned from the main road to enter a muddy road, then passed by an over filled trash, and rode along some brownish pond, I was not very optimistic. Then we went up some small worn stairs and passed by some open place with some few old training equipment which finished to kill my motivation. But slowly, I started to relax, appreciate the calm and beauty of the area and everything felt much better. The beach is gorgeous, and you always have access to some sun bed, SUP boards, and canoe. The service at the beach is really good. The staff is extremely helpful and dedicated. The breakfast is really good, with the best croissant I hate since a long time. The food at the restaurant is really high quality, and the room withe outdoor bathroom is enjoyable. I really liked the feeling of the place. More family feeling than industrial resort, very quite and isolated. The beach is really nice, the sand is beautiful. the water very clear and perfectly warm. Just a shame the sea bed is quite boring and if you go for a walk in the "woods" beyond the beach it is sadly packed with plastic and empty bottles. But all in all, I highly recommend the place.

Verified reviewThe beach is the best we saw on the island - a long stretch of white sand with calm water. The other side of the island has some small waves as windier. The rooms are fairly simple but very comfortable and clean. Restaurant food was good; staff attentive.
