Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

South KoreaThe hotel had a very modern and stylish design with a cozy atmosphere. The location was perfect, just a short walk to Gwangalli Beach with a beautiful view.

NetherlandsThis is a wonderful hotel! The rooms are comfortable and fun. The beach is very close by. The pool is great. Breakfast is mixed Korean and Western food with a Korean touch. The staff are very helpful and attentive. My booking was mixed up and they really helped to sort it out. We had a great stay!

ItalyThe experience at the spa (or onsen or?) was meh. Nice concept but the temperature of the room and water was too cold so it wasn’t that pleasant overall. The room is crammed.
The location is great, on a back road of Gwangalli beach and sufficiently quiet. The concept of the hotel is interesting and different from mainstream. The real highlight is the breakfast, with plenty of choice between dishes from different cuisines, including vegetarian options. There’s something like a spa that you have to book beforehand and a nice swimming pool.

FranceNothing, everything was perfect!
We loved our stay at After Chapter, the hotel has its own very unique design, everything is spotless, the breakfast is amazing and the facilities make you want to stay in Busan. On top of that, the hotel is just 200 metres away from Gwangalli beach, which is just around the corner.

The room was very cool and modern. It is a little small, but we didn't have any issues opening two suitcases to get our things and then shutting them to make space. We loved relaxing in the bathtub and the record player was a nice touch. The breakfast was also delicious, a good range of Korean food and other western options. The location is great too! Right by Gwangali Beach. We had a stunning view of the bridge from our window.

United KingdomLove the design and furniture in the room and the bonus of a record player with music that matched the vibe of the hotel. Loved that incense was left for guests to add to the atmosphere. Breakfast was exceptional. Too bad its not in any of the pictures but theres such a variety of korean and western (but done very well) food and the quality was top notch. There are also private spa rooms you can book out which we didn't get a chance to use but they look nice and high end

IrelandNeed to supply milk at breakfast for coffee. I could also see how the space might be a bit tight for people traveling with a lot of luggage
Fantastic location a stone’s thrown from Gwangalli beach. Great transport links (buses, line 2 subway). Super zen hotel - decor, vibe, staff, the peace oasis facility (usage included in price). Breakfast varied - something for everyone. Near lots of restaurants and bars. We had an A type room - good light and just enough room for us.

United StatesLoved our stay here. If you appreciate design and don't mind mood lighting, this place is awesome. We booked an I-Type room with the jacuzzi on the balcony but didn't end up using it because the hotel actually had a wellness center with private baths / meditation sessions for 45 minutes, included in the stay. I wish I would have known about this before. The breakfast was extensive and delicious. Awesome place, will definitely return the next time I'm in Busan!

GermanyOverall, the hotel is stylish and has a pleasant ambience. The breakfast selection seems limited but sufficient. However, the room that I was staying in was smaller than it appeared in the pictures. If you have huge luggage with you then you may find it difficult to pack/unpack it.

AustraliaYou may never find a hotel staff at the reception, I made the call four times in order to find someone to check in and checkout. The room is dark and there were napkins provided in the room. A lady who worked on 2025/2/6 was rude that when we collecting our luggages, she asked ourselves to move them (three in total) without providing any help, I was quite unpleasant about her.
Overall the location is good, the breakfast provided by the hotel is great. The design is stunning.

LatviaThe room is very dark with tiny window. But it may be an advantage in summer. I felt always high humidity in the bathroom. It was hard to aerate the room.
Good location near one of the symbols of Busan - Gwangandaegyo Bridge - with many nice restaurants nearby. Breakfast in the hotel is very good, I do advise to take the breakfast option. Personnel is very attentive and available to help with any question.

United KingdomThe hotel is nice & the rooms are good. I really appreciated that the design was more unique than the other hotels we had seen available in Korea generally. We were in an I-Room on level 2 which was spacious but did lack light & views. The pool is great although has limited seating & no bar. The breakfast is delicious - a plate of salad, hummus, bacon, homemade bread, potatoes and mushrooms - but it is the same offering every day which lacks variety. Breakfast is served in the coffee shop attached to the hotel where there is a range of pastries & breads laid out, but none of these are included in the available hotel breakfast - making them available as an alternative would be a nice touch.
