Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

JapanPrice was a bit high for the room size as I have stayed nearby just a few buildings down and paid almost $100 less for a significantly bigger room. However it was clean and modern but would’ve like a little more space or just a smidge cheaper but other than that, overall great stay :)
Convenient location, some of the staff members were really nice, and loved that we got fresh towels each day despite the no clean sign. Love that there was a gallery beneath and a restaurant as well, we didn’t get to check it out but perhaps next time if we stay again!

SingaporeThe room was a little smaller than expected, which meant there wasn't much walking space for me and my friend, who both brought medium/large suitcases along with some carry-on bags. There is no closet, which is a potential downside for people. The biggest downside was the lack of central AC. We went in late March, which is not typically very warm, but the weather was rather erratic, so we had warm days and cold days, but the central AC unit was not turned on/available. So, to have some circulation in the room, we had to crack open the window, which is not ideal given the poor air quality during that time of year. Would have been great if the AC unit were available year-round, both as a heater and as an AC to cater to the different needs of visitors, and prevent people from having to breathe in poor outside air through the night.
Very affordable hotel with an incredible location. About 5 mins from the Sinsa station and basically right in the Garusogil area. There is a giant Olive Young nearby that doesn't get too crowded, and many restaurant options. Staff were incredibly helpful, and the hotel itself has a clean, minimalist aesthetic. It is also close to the Airport Shuttle stop in the area, though I personally did not use that to get too and from the airport.

EstoniaThe hotel is on a hill so don’t try to go there by metro with your luggage. I made that mistake. It is way easier to go by taxi. Oh and the hotel should update their netflix as well.
The rooftop bar view was fantastic! Also the availability of laundry machines was a great help.

United StatesUnfortunately I was charged quite a large amount for accidental bleeding on a towel. I brought it to the hotel staff's attention and apologized since it was not intentional, however I was still charged over $75 USD or 100,000 won for the single towel. I was not expecting such a high charge.
I loved the 19th floor cafe. It had both amazing views and great food. The room itself was very comfortable and also had great eco friendly products that were perfect size for a short stay. The hotel was centrally located and very easy to commute from different parts of the city.

KazakhstanThe reception staff is unresponsive and seem reluctant to carry out their work - did not want to answer basic questions which made us afraid to inquire about any minor requests.
We enjoyed the nearby Garosu-gil and other cafe and shop-filled streets. The restaurant on the top floor and the gallery in the basement were a very welcome addition. The complimentary products (tea/shampoo/body wash/conditioner) were also pleasant.

IrelandI wouldnt call it a hotel… more like a room rental place with a reception. No ‘lobby’ , the rooftop and the restaurant didnt seem to be really part of the hotel and didnt have option for breakfast if you would wish. The restaurant also served strange food not for everyone’s palette. They shouldnt really advertise it as a hotel with all these amenities, you couldn’t even get a coffee before 9am and it was wildly overpriced even for Seoul standards
Room was super comfortable , well cleaned and the staff were lively and helpful.

SingaporeThe room is a little small so I wished there was a communal area or business center to do work. Would be great if the basin was in the toilet so noise is minimal. Wi-Fi connection also not great.

Maybe is for safe consider so maybe can change supply hot water near counter or Walkway outside the room 2.Translate machine or tablet: Because everyone English ability is different. Maybe can provide something with translation software table in counter let customers can key in words to translate
1.locations : very convenient, from Sinsa station No.8 Exit directly walk about 5 minutes when see Uniqlo almost arrive , walk next alley at B1 position is AR Hotel 2. Friendly: When I called for the first time to confirm the reservation, because my English was not very fluent, it was a little difficult to communicate. When I called for the second time, they found a service staff who could speak Chinese, which was very smart and phone speak call me don’t need worry feel safe and comfortable. When check in,Because I paid in cash, I didn’t know how to display the credit card, but my card was stuck and I couldn‘t see the number. I used it for a long time to remove the sticker, but the counter staff was very patient and thought of a way to take out a wet tissue to help me remove the sticker. It was a very friendly counter staff. 3.Room design beauty 、clean 、comfortable: Although the room is not very large, it is large enough for 1 to 2 people. The whole room is designed with wood style ,I like it very much. 4.nearby have police station feel safe

New ZealandRoom facilities were a bit run down if looked closely like wallpaper ripped. I had checked the mattress for any bed bugs, and there were none except lots of hair... meaning they don't clean anything under the sheets. Would be good to vacuum... The room is nice but not a room to rest and hang around, more for just sleep and go.
The location was really close to Sinsa shops and station. The building reception and the rest of the hotel are quite hidden, which made me feel safe. Bed was comfy for a solo traveler but could be a bit small for a couple. The amenities like gallery and bar are quite cool. Urban view from bedroom was nice but can be a bit chilly in winter as the bed is next to the window - however, they had a good heating system. They give you pjs, which is great for light traveller!

NetherlandsThe only thing I would add is a small rail for hanging some clothes. There is no breakfast so you have to go to another hotel or outside to eat in the morning.
It was a wonderful stay. The rooms are very minimalistic but you have everything you need. The bed was comfortable and the room was very very clean. The products/tea in the room were very nice. The rooftop bar was just breathtaking.

AustraliaThey didn't respond through booking.com so I needed to call their number to request a late check-in which was a bit stressful as it was only in Korean. The reception and lift areas we're a bit dirty but I arrived late at night.
Staff we're super kind and allowed me to check in well past midnight after flight delays. The room is nicely designed and has lots of cute eco amenities. Great location for shopping and walking around Gangnam. Reception also helped me call and cab to my next location and put the address on a card for me to show drivers in the future which was super considerate.

United KingdomLocation is not great if it's your first time in Seoul and you want to explore Gangnam. If you like to walk, it's not an ideal place as you rely a lot in the metro. Room can feel quite small.
Room was super clean and it provided a lot of amenities. Location was well connected to public transport, a 5 min walk to the metro station. Staff was friendly and very helpful. The bar and cafe were amazing. Would definitely come back.
