Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

MalaysiaStaff not helpful, we requested to have ground floor room as my friend has knee issue but was not given. The stairs is quite steep. We arrived the place early as we had early morning flight but not allowed to check in early. While waiting for our room, we wanted to use the toilet but was not allowed.
Location was good, nearby subway station

AustraliaStaff was very unresponsive - the heater was broken and I had to spend my nights freezing. Thank God it was only a short trip so I didn't have to suffer for long. But I messaged directly here on Booking.com and Whatsapp and never received any assistance.
The location is tricky for cabs to find since it's inside an alley. If you want to get picked up, you must go out to the main road, which can be slightly inconvenient.

ThailandIt's one of those no staff places... when you need a staff member - no one is around. They have whatsap number but if you don't have a smart phone - no contact is possible.
My 2nd time staying here - like the location.. liked the hostel like atmosphere. I stayed in the dorm room - place was busy with travellers from around the world. Place had basic cooking facilities... good toilet / shower area. Very good location - not far from city centre. It's a little hard to find but it's hidden location makes it a quieter place as well.

South KoreaOn my first night when I entered the room it smelled like a literal rotten corpse and it was 40 c inside. The beds are incredibly small and uncomfortable that is barely enough for a 180cm guy like me to lie down straight. No power outlets next to the beds, the kitchen counter has 20 cracks and the microwave doesn't work. I saw a roach once(this was in February). The whole room is a repurposed reception room that even has a small window where people would knock in the middle of the night. There are many exposed wires and switches that control god knows what. The bathroom is full of black mold, they clean the toilet and the sink but not much else because it's everywhere on the floor and the bathroom shelf. There is no hair dryer and for the first 4-5 days no shampoo or shower gel either. There is absolutely zero security. The front door lock doesn't work, meaning anyone can walk in. There is no CCTV. This is especially bad because the surrounding area is a sketchy place full of homeless people. There is no staff at the guesthouse except a cleaner who comes once a day for a couple hours, they are part timers who don't care about much and can be quite rude and unhelpful. But the single biggest issue and a quite traumatic experience was the LITERAL CRAZY HOBO ROOMMATE I HAD TO SHARE A ROOM WITH! He was incredibly stinky and dirty and had these delusions of grandeur I cannot even write down here!! I felt incredibly unsafe and when he moved out I felt relieved but two days later HE BROKE INTO THE ROOM, WOKE ME UP AND THREATENED TO BEAT ME!! I had to call the police and I tried reaching out to the owner but he was allegedly sleeping (1 pm btw). When I talked to the owner I straight away told him that this guy tried to assault me, he didn't take me seriously. Finally he promised they will change the room door code. The hobo intended to stay more which allegedly won't happen but who knows.I stayed 9 days of my 11 and got a 50% refund and an apology.

United StatesRoom smelled badly of sewage/toilet, Air conditioner was broken and dripped water, the room looked nothing like the photos, Bedframe was broken, Bed was uncomfortable (just a box mattress with a fitted sheet on top, Sink was broken and wobbly, Toilet paper dispenser was broken and had been fixed with tape, Walls were incredibly thin so it was hard to sleep, Door rattled every time someone else opened a door, Air conditioner rattled loudly, “Flat screen TV” only played korean cable tv with no way to use netflix or connect the TV to a phone, Bug screens on windows had holes that were stuffed with toilet paper, “kitchen” was just a microwave and hot water dispenser, graffiti on the wall (someone wrote “Hi”), Towels were too small, Floor was sticky and sank down when stepped on in some places, Shower took a very long time to warm up. There was also evidence of mold.
Close to the station.
