How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewThe location is near the harbour and the good seafood restaurant. There is a nice view of the sea from the window.
Free breakfast was unnecessary as it was comprised of two pieces of toasted bread, a tiny amount of lettuce, and the ham looking like formed ham, which made the breakfast the one from the cheap hostel breakfast.
Thank you very much for your review, and I am truly sorry that our breakfast did not meet your expectations. At our B&B we offer a simple, homemade breakfast. Each morning we serve freshly baked vegan bread (made without milk, eggs, or butter), a salad with vegetables from our kitchen garden, homemade yogurt, boiled eggs, and marmalade made from our neighbor’s tangerines. We also provide ham, selected for its higher meat content and better quality compared to many commercial options. Our breakfast is served in a buffet style, so guests are welcome to take as much as they wish. We will certainly continue to look for ways to improve the quality of what we provide. Thank you again for your feedback. Best Regards Sue from Doldam B&B

Verified reviewEverything! The room with the sea view is even nicer than in the pictures, very spacious, clean and comfortable. The atmosphere is so relaxing, you have plenty of books to read listening to some music and hearing the sound of the waves just in front of you. The location is perfect to experience local vibes and good food away from the city caos. The owners made our stay even greater, giving us recommendations on beaches, food, where to see dolphins, museums and much more. The homemade jam for breakfast is delicious and the dog Dori is so sweet. We truly felt like at home and will be back in Italy enriched by this stay in Jeju island. Thanks again!
Nothing! For future guests we recommend renting a car and be ok with being in “the nature”, insects are around but not harmful and not a problem for us :)

Verified reviewOwners very friendly, accomodating and hospitable. They were easily reachable. When we had requests, they tried to accomodate. The space had a very relaxed vibe. Further, when we left they gave us free iced coffee on a hot day. Appreciate! If you need advice on where to visit in Jeju, they have a wealth of info to offer:) My single room was a nice size for a person. Very well equipped with what I need. Toilet abit small but sufficient. Cozy space with cozy lights. Strong aircon and well ventilated. A great hideout and getaway.
The location is quite a drive from main city, one should have a car to visit:) but the distance from the city makes the place extra special since it is quiet, nice, calm and really a place whereby you can unwind and slow down your pace of life.

Verified reviewOur stay was excellent. The owners were incredibly friendly and always ready to help, which made us feel truly welcome. The room was very comfortable, and the peaceful surroundings made it perfect for a good night’s sleep. We would gladly stay here again. If you will not have a car, try to use local taxi (You can use local application K.Ride, or if you will have, then Uber will be better choice).

Verified reviewDoldam B&B went beyond our expectations. The facility is cosey and beautiful with a big window in our room with direct view of the ocean. The whole facility is beautiful and very pleasant. What really made our experience wonderful were the hosts. We had some travel challenges and Sue was available before and after we arrived with suggestions and support. Every day they came up with additional ideas of things that will be good for us to do and in general attended to all of our needs and beyond. No doubt, Doldam B&B is the place to be in Jeju for a meaningful and memorable experience.
everything was great

Verified reviewThe breakfast was delicious and had a wonderful homemade vibe. Sue even made us a kimchi pancake one morning. She also takes the time to ask each guest what they’re planning and provides recommendations afterwards. Really feels like staying with a grandmother who is looking after you. Sue even gave me a little present because I told her it was my birthday. On our last day we joined a town festival for the haenyeo women that Sue told us about and that was so special. The B&B is near the ocean, so it’s pretty easy to walk along the water. Lastly, we took a cooking class with Sue and it was so much fun!

Verified reviewApart from the amazing location near the sea, providing beautiful views, the b&b is also in short walking distance to several restaurants, stores and cafes/bakeries. The b&b itself is beautiful and charmingly decorated. The rooms are spotless and provide views of the sea and garden. Breakfust was abundant and delicious. We loved the home-made marmalade! Sue and her husband are wonderful. They did everything to make us feel welcome and helped us with tips and suggestions on beat places to visit to match our daily plans. We were truly sad to leave.
I cannot think of a single thing that did not meet or exceed our expectations.

Verified reviewSue and Doldam made us feel so welcome! They helped us with planning activities and finding restaurants. They even wrote out our restaurant requests in Korean to make ordering easy! Such a peaceful view from our room and it felt as though we were in an authentic community on Jeju. Was even lucky enough to see some women divers!
Nothing - all very nice.

Verified reviewWe had a wonderful stay! The atmosphere was calm and relaxing—perfect for unwinding. The location is great, right by the sea, not too touristy but still a lot of options of walks and eating. The owners were incredibly kind and gave us great advice on what to see, how to get there, and the best times to visit. Their homemade jam and bread were a real treat every morning. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a peaceful, welcoming place to stay.

Verified reviewThe place was beautiful. Super calm and relaxing. The town was picturesque and had plenty of amenities nearby. You could see the ocean from the b&b. Public transit was within a 5 minute walk and so were most cafés and restaurants. The hosts were great: very friendly and informative. They gave great suggestions for places to visit and how to get there. They also allowed us to check in early, which was extremely kind and accommodating of them. The room was clean and tidy. It was also quite spacious. And our room had really lovley views. It felt very private. I would 100% recommend!
There's nothing I did not like. The place was great. The only thing I would say is maybe getting some kind of mattress topper. The bed was a little bit hard for my taste, but I know this is not the case for everyone, so it really isn't a must.

Verified reviewThe owners were very approachable. Always willing to help in giving directions/recommendations. They were able to converse in English which helped alot!
There were 3 of us. The room given had 2 beds and 1 mattress. With 3 luggages (medium sized) on the floor, it was quite uncomfortable to move around. There were not enough table top (or similar) for us ladies to place our things.

Verified reviewThe owners are so kind and made great efforts to make us feel welcome, starting with great communication from the moment we booked. It was Korea's Parent's day on the last day and they made a surprise delicious Korean special dish at breakfast to mark the occasion for us and our kids. So nice! The breakfast itself is really nice, as is the coffee. There is an acoustic guitar, which I was able to play in the garden, or cafe area. Always a sign of a nice creative space, which is great for our family. Our kids forgot their pencil case and crayons and the owners were kind enough to lend us their own set. So kind! Location is great, with easy parking. It is close to a small port with varied eating locations, including bbq, seafood, a 24hr pizza place - which has amazing Italian style pizza with an authentic oven. Our kids kept saying how it's their favourite place to stay in Korea and we have live in this country for four years. We shall definitely return!
Everything was great

Verified reviewWe really loved our short stay here! The room was cozy, comfortable, and quite spacious compared to a simple hotel. The star of the show, however, are Doldam & Sue. They are amazing hosts! They waited till night for our arrival, were very helpful with check-in and check-out, cooked a very tasty breakfast, and were very helpful with our activities plan! If it's your first visit to Jeju, be sure to book at least one night - it will definitely kick off a great trip for you!
